Award-winning singer-songwriter-pianist, Johnny Rodgers knocks audiences out with his powerful vocals, sophisticated piano and emotionally charged songs. The Chicago Tribune calls him "a first-rate singer-songwriter with robust vocals and exuberant pianism." Johnny resides in New York City, but grew up in Miami and attended the University of Miami jazz program, graduating from Western Michigan University in jazz, piano and voice.

Johnny Rodgers is a favorite in the New York, East coast and Florida performance scenes - and is creating fans around the world. Johnny's original songs are for the sophisticated palate. He creates bubbly and romantic pop ballads, Taylor-laced melodies, and sultry jazz all stirred with piano driven rock. Johnny Rodgers' performances please not only with his original songs but also his boy-next-door charm and creamy, dreamy crooner's voice. He shares this new American Songbook and many timeless favorites made popular by Mel Torme, Hoagy Carmichael and more.

Johnny Rodgers Band was formed in New York City in 2003 to add musical depth to the road-tested original songs. Johnny pulled together accomplished musicians with vast experience who were familiar with performing in all styles from pop to jazz and classic rock.

Two years after the bands formation, the Johnny Rodgers Band's debut album, Box of Photographs was released. The songs take you on side trips to places like upbeat New Orleans and Memphis soul. The album includes Grammy-winner Randy Brecker and his legendary sound on several jazz style cuts on the twelve-track album.

Liza Minnelli discovered Rodgers and brought him on as her pianist and guest performer for her world tours, and he recently debuted on Broadway in the Tony Award winning Liza's At The Palace. Johnny co-wrote the show's featured song I Would Never Leave You which has also been sung on national television. Johnny Rodgers brings his talented band to the likes of Los Angeles Ford Amphitheatre, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the premiere New York City clubs like Feinstein's and Birdland; Arturo Sandoval's and other Miami Beach jazz clubs; and many festivals like Festival Miami. Pop, rock, jazz. ALL...with pizAZZ! Also in 2008, Johnny released two EP's - the indie-pop Bound Together, featuring the Father's Day/graduation tribute The Best Of You In Me picked by Hal Leonard for a POP chorale arrangement, and Let's Make a Date, the title song being a big-band swing duet with Johnny and Liza Minnelli.

Hi Johnny, one of the great things about the Six Pack is that you never know who is going to become a listening favorite. You write my kind of music and it's a pleasure to listen to. Hope you gett to hear some of my tunes becuase we seem to have similar tastes in composting. All the best, Felice Kaye-Cooper

Congratulations on having had one or more of your songs "selected" from the pitch opportunities. I was wondering if you were ever contacted and if you feel that making pitches to Broadjam has been a good financial decision for you. Thank you, Donna donalarose@aol.com

Best way is to have a personal relationship with the musical supervisor or publisher. To date - have had no income production come from any of my "selections" from Broadjam.

Thanks Penny -
The Best Of You In Me was one of those "gifts" that came to me and my producer Richard Barone one late night (early morning) in the studio while we were working on another project. All The Best!
