Award-winning singer-songwriter-pianist, Johnny Rodgers knocks audiences out with his powerful vocals, sophisticated piano and emotionally charged songs. Johnny resides in New York City, but grew up in Miami and attended the University of Miami jazz program, graduating from Western Michigan University in jazz, piano and voice.

He creates bubbly and romantic pop ballads, Taylor-laced melodies, and sultry jazz all stirred with piano driven rock. Johnny Rodgers' performances please not only with his original songs but also his boy-next-door charm and creamy, dreamy crooner's voice. Johnny Rodgers Band was formed in New York City in 2003 to add musical depth to the road-tested original songs. Johnny pulled together accomplished musicians with vast experience who were familiar with performing in all styles from pop to jazz and classic rock.
Two years after the bands formation, the Johnny Rodgers Band's debut album, Box of Photographs was released. The songs take you on side trips to places like upbeat New Orleans and Memphis soul. The album includes Grammy-winner Randy Brecker and his legendary sound on several jazz style cuts on the twelve-track album.
Liza Minnelli discovered Rodgers and brought him on as her pianist and guest performer for her world tours, and he recently debuted on Broadway in the Tony Award winning Liza's At The Palace. Johnny co-wrote the show's featured song I Would Never Leave You which has also been sung on national television. Johnny Rodgers brings his talented band to the likes of Los Angeles Ford Amphitheatre, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the premiere New York City clubs like Feinstein's and Birdland; Arturo Sandoval's and other Miami Beach jazz clubs; and many festivals like Festival Miami. Pop, rock, jazz. ALL...with pizAZZ! Also in 2008, Johnny released two EP's - the indie-pop Bound Together, featuring the Father's Day/graduation tribute The Best Of You In Me picked by Hal Leonard for a POP chorale arrangement, and Let's Make a Date, the title song being a big-band swing duet with Johnny and Liza Minnelli.
