SF-based singer/songwriter recently wrote and starred in "How To Write A Song" a one-man multi-media musical about his travels in the songwriting biz. The SF Examiner called it "funny and inspiring" in a rave review, while the Chronicle called it "hilarious".

Marlowe recently entered the world of childrens' educational music, penning 11 songs for The Learning Company's award-winning Reader Rabbit series. "The Teasing Bird" , his first release under his own name, won a coveted Parents' Choice Award.

Marlowe has performed at the Fillmore, Great American Music Hall, Slim's, Cafe Du Nord and other major SF venues.

In Spring of 2004, Ira debuted “How to Write a Song”—a “one-man multi-media musical featuring songs, monologues, and interactive video—which ran for five fantastic weeks at San Francisco’s Off Market Theater.
