Residue is the much-anticipated second J-Bird Records release from Impulse Ride, Augusta GA's "Best Alternative Band" for the last five consecutive years. The CD combines their trademark memorable hook-laden melodies, tight harmonies, and a driving backbeat, with more of a sonic edge, representing a significant leap forward in the band's musical progression.

Known throughout the Southeast for its exceptional live performances, Impulse Ride formed after lead guitarist and vocalist Bill Irwin advertised for a bass player to join his cover band. Yeargain got the gig and the two quickly began collaborating on original material. Within a month of coming together, the band was performing its original material throughout clubs in the Southeast, and soon became one of the most sought after acts on the college circuit. The band has also performed with the Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, Tonic, Smithereens and more.

This year Impulse Ride has enlisted the talents of Jamie Jones to play drums and round out the powerful vocals found on Residue. Aptly titled, the ten superbly crafted tunes on Residue are the digital remnants of all the time, effort, relationships and creativity that have been instrumental in the band’s writing and recording process.
