Eric Stinnett BIO

Eric Stinnett is a soulful R&B singer born and raised in Dallas, Texas. While his looks may be reminiscent of the R&B singer Joe, he sounds more like his other influences: Brian McKnight, D'Angelo, Anthony Hamilton, Maxwell, Raphael Saadiq and others from the Neo-Soul movement.

Like many other great soul singers, he too honed his early musical gifts singing in the church. He excelled at trombone while playing in several jazz groups and ensembles at the high school & collegiate level. It was there where he discovered a love for jazz and began weaving it into his own gospel and soul-inspired vocal style.

His latest project, "Chocolate Soul", embodies this new sound in his live-recorded EP. The first single, "Whiplash" has been getting rotation on local Miami radio stations, Internet radio and in the UK ever since debuting in the Atlanta International Soul Summit 2007. During the conference, "Whiplash" received accolades from industry professionals such as Platinum-selling Vocal Arranger, Kipper Jones (Boyz II Men, Kenny Latimore) and made an impression on many others.

Since then Eric has been a featured performer for soul music events in Dallas, St. Louis, Atlanta & Miami during 2008. Recently Chocolate Soul was added to the Soultracks.com favorite artists page and Eric performed live in the studio on Miami's premier jazz station, WDNA 88,9FM.
