Eddie Paton Bio
Versatile guitarist, singer, composer, Eddie Paton is an award winning musician who thrives on his eclectic career. He is a member of the JUNO nominated group Sultans of String and co-founder of the critically acclaimed music project ReDuX:RMx, Eddie is most well known as a Latin guitarist and has also recorded and worked with many Rock, Funk and Pop acts.
A classically trained guitar virtuoso, Eddie studied on full scholarship at UWO with world renowned guitarist Stefan Rak. He has toured North America, the British Isles & the Middle East with some of Canada's biggest instrumental artists and appears on a number of major and independent cd releases. Eddie along with his ReDuX:RMx partner Bret Menezes co-wrote the score to the Sea World Australia show Pirates Unleashed. He is a latin category winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and a finalist in the International Songwriting Contest.
The Sultans of String released their new album Symphony! on September 17th. This is album features the Sultans quintet and a full orchestra.
Eddie has combined with French chanteuse Cloé Bernard on an album titled Rendez-vous. This acoustic adult contemporary singer/songwriter album features both English and French songs that fuse latin, jazz, folk and pop influences.
Eddie's new instrumental guitar album is nearing completion. This project combines latin, rock and electronica elements with songs written by Eddie and his ReDuX:RMx partner Bret Menezes.
