Danielle O'Hallisey is a guitarist and composer of inspired works for modern and traditional instrumentation.
Her influences range from the virtuosic brilliance of jazz/fusion masters Larry Coryell, Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin and Stanley Clarke; to the serene, contemplative musings of Icelandic neoclassical composers Olafur Arnalds and Johann Johannsson .
She has studied guitar and harmony with Mr. Coryell, and was recently awarded the Vermont Arts Council Creation Grant for the generation of new work for her neoclassical trio, Yellow Sky. Yellow Sky's CD of her "String Ka-Tet in d minor" was released in June of 2016; featuring work based on Stephen King's Dark Tower series, for which the author gave permission for the use of his work to name and set the individual pieces.
