Houston's own Bill Curd is a rock artist with 6 albums under his belt. Bill has either written or recorded with some members of the Gin Blossoms, Rembrandts, Dennis De Young's band and Dave Buckner from Papa Roach, and had 3 songs on Grammy consideration lists (2018, 2019) under his "Ghosts of Winter" project. Admittedly, he tends to shoot from the hip, bending his genre to fit his own tastes at times. However, there's always a story in his songs for "someone" out there.
In my interview with him, he stated, "It's not about being a star anymore. You don't have to be one to be successful. If one of my songs hits a piece or a time in somebody's life, touches their heart or simply makes them groove a little when they listen, well,,,,,that's success. Isn't it?"
