Vogts Sisters; Mind-Blowing Over The Top Instrumentation And Production With Perfectly Pure Vocal / Harmonies On "My Own Dixie" ... WOW! ... Would Love To Know Where And How You Recorded This One ... Best Wishes For Your Continued Success ... J Nelson K
Thanks so much, J Nelson. We recorded this at Hall of Fame Recording Studio in Neodesha, KS with the Eichor family as musicians from Tulsa. They did an awesome job on relating to our songs. Be sure to check out our latest album, Homeward--which we produced and performed ourselves. http://www.vogtssisters.com/ 1
My Own Dixie, with its beautiful lyrics and gentle mastery in the vocals make this a real pleasure to listen to. Softly heartfelt! Well done. I wish you all the best with this title track of your latest album!
Guitar Man is so skilfully performed, both vocally and with great guitar and fiddle playing
Thanks! We had some guys from Tulsa play the music for this album. They did a great job.
I wish you every success! You all really deserve it!!
Your perfect vocal harmonies and beautiful playing make Better Off Alone a real treat for the ears.Well done girls!
Thanks, Rachel!
Hi Vogts, I hope life is real fine for you both. I had to take a sec and let you know how much I enjoyed listening to New-Heeled Boots. Good stuff for sure. The sharp instrumentation, keen vocals really hit home. I'm originally from Winfield, KS and went to the first bluegrass festival (only 400 people showed up!) and I think I've seen you're name 'round there. I can't wait to listen to more! You both take real good care. Smile tons, Billy
Thanks, Billy. Glad you enjoyed the song. Maybe we'll see you at Winfield! Best regards, Abigail & Maggie
Thanks for adding our songs to your playlist and for the nice rating! Great to connect with you here.
Hi Ladies, Welcome to Broadjam! I love your music....great songs and performances. I lived in Lawrence and Tonganoxie for 12 years during the years I was touring nationally in the 60's and 70's. My 2nd and 3rd albums were dedicated to Kansas. They were "Waving Prairie" and "Taxi To Tonganoxie"..... I love the waving prairie and the Kansas storms. Back in 2008, I was inducted into The Kansas Music Hall of Fame. Keep it up and you'll get into the hall, too. Best of luck here. Broadjam is a great site with a lot of nice folks here. Best, Chet Nichols
Hi Chet! Great to hear from you! We'll be performing at the Lawrence Pickin' and Fiddling Competition in August and we enjoy playing at Cutter's Smokehouse in Eudora. Many blessings to you!
Thanks for the 5-star ratings on our songs. Be sure to check out the music from My Own Dixie, which released this March.
Will do! Of course, I have a LOT of music posted at Broadjam. A few I'll suggest are.... "Taxi To Tonganoxie".... " Waving Prairie" ..... "Good Times".... "You've Got The Keys To My Heart".... Enjoy at will... Chet
Nice sound and song, and from the heart of SE Kansas, takes me back to where I became hooked on beans as a kid, visiting Erie from my home farm near Ft Scott. I left the area at 17 and have not been back since, many years ago, but I still love my beans.
Hi Ron, Thanks for stopping by to say hello. The beans are alive and well in Erie, KS every July! We'll actually be performing for the first time at the Reunion this year on Friday night!
