Roy, I have noticed that you review quite a few songs here on Broadjam. How does one go about submitting something to you for listening? Thanks. Mark Crocker
Mark, Thanks for your note. I listen to about 30-50 songs daily and wish I could review more than I do. If you post a request for a review, it usually takes about a month for me to get to it as there are several in the queue already. Post the song that you would like me to review and I'll get it on the list. Thanks for your interest and being a member.....Best, Roy
Roy, when you say "post a review request", where on the Broadjam site do we do that? I have a number of songs posted under my name. Do we just tell you the name of the song? Or there is there more to the review process I am not aware of? Thanks for your time. Mark Crocker
Mark, If you would like me to review a song, you can post it here. I am usually backed up, so thanks in advance for your patience....Also, there are others ways to get feedback on Bjam. 1.) Check out the Pro Reviewer process. There are many top-level industry veterans reviewing. For a fee, you get your music directly to, and receive feedback from pros who have been there and done it. 2.) The peer review mechanism on Broadjam will give you direct feedback from other members. Many of the reviewers are great musicians and have good feedback to offer. You should give this a try as well.....Best, Roy
I'd be happy to listen to anything available. Send it through here or contact me at spettis@drury.edu Good Luck
hey thanks for your review of "floors". actually, the "she" is a "he" and I completely agree. Please check out some of our other tunes www.facebook.com/thestephenbanister project
I grew into the skill of songwriting from the back of my fathers van, on the way to one of his sessions. He would work out harmonies while driving to a gig and I would join in. One day at a studio in Freeport, New York. The band D-TRAIN seemed to be stuck on a background part and I started humming what I heard in my head and the next thing I heard was my father telling me to sing that in the mic. From then on I was called the harmony queen. I enjoyed blending different genres together and I especially enjoyed layering dissonance harmonies over popular or what was known as conventional two- part harmonies. From then on I enjoyed accupella challenges, jazz, house, cross over, Techno, urban soul and urban country styles and all the popular styles of music. I have been all over the world; been a gospel producer, sang on Broadway with the winans. Opened up for blues greats and pop divas. Played my hand as a back ground singer, producer, a house/studio musician, womens music festivals and more. But when it all boils down to nothing: I am and always will be a vocalist who writes great songs. maybe someday I'll write that song that you just can't get out of your soul, beacuse no matter what labels try to do in this industry they can't take away who you really are! So AMEN to that!!!
