Thank you Peter! I appreciate that. I know I need to get better at recording...but time will allow that as I continue to learn the details.! :)
(But I really am gonna start singing my songs solo) do you all think this would be ok to start doing? or not? I have so many songs/lyrics in my head that I can sing and think maybe some of you if you want can grab one and make it ours? Does that sound extreme...its ok...lol cuz I am an extremist! LOL I'm just stuck with words and no music? Yet a song with no rhythm? or a like a car with no keys...to drive it...if you know what I mean? I want to know if I am a song writer or if I'm just waisting my time...I don't have to put them in reviews...unless recommended or reconditioned? Anyways let me know about this last part? will someone? Thanks guys...I love your help and Positive Energy! I just wrote one 2 days ago...Called LiveLearnLoveLife I've got the jingle down and sing it pretty well...so if I should this is the one I will start with? Should I? If your interested it will be on here to check out? Please let me know whatcha think about all this??? Lori

Hi Peter, Jack-a-lopes are an artist fabrication created back in the 50's and featured on many Route 66 postcards. They featured an antelope with horns....but the head of the "beast" was that of a jack rabbit. Google it...you'll get a laugh. I really like your song and Rachel sounds great! Nice work! Let me know when you have new music posted. Best ..... Chet

you dont reply much greenie i sort of like that
Hi Guys hope your all well did you get my last e mail greenie
well, i'm convinced, Greenie, you genie alright, you want to hook up? fine but get realy for some reality first, then we chat you, or your partner, are what we call "hook thinkers" you clearly get a root idea, based on a strong title, first lots of folks do that style of writing, but you follow it up with a good lyric that stays true, and draws the listener into the title great, it's all good, love the feelm, love the tight wurlies love the guits love the bass, drums sound stock, a bit weak in production, not a bad kit choice though, for a VST now, the bad news, which is really good news, so read with an open mind your vocal sound sucks let me repeat your vocal sound sucks now that we have that out of the way, lets look at those words. your soiund sucks but, here's the deal, greenie your vocal styling, your pitch, and your overall feel is great its almost a Robbie Robertson, circa early 90s touch, and it's very cool, even today if you sand Cohen lyrics, you'd kill'em so, whats the prob? it isn't your mic not you. so, what? you have nonidea how to get a vocal track mastered to fit the tune you just have no idea, because you haven't heard your own voice ever done pro not even once, i bet once you hear that, you could do it yourself, forever so, where does that leave us? first. we connect for a day or two. then, if you connected because you wouild like a shot... then we can probably work that out somehow good now go have a coffee with your partner, and have a little chat go easy on the cream colesterol bad stuff
whon is the "new" Jennifer Warren? it's dido Jennifer Warren sold well over 3,000,000 in her career she sang in movie scores she was heavily in demand for two years, in the 80s she sang with Joe Cocker, made millions why? Jennifer Warren isn't really very good she isn't any better than about fifty thousand other female singers, and she never was. so, how did she do it? she knew how to find a great lyric. thing is, Jenny didn't make those decisions thats reality its called "building a rep" dido has done that her rep is like Jennys you know what you're going to get before you unwrap the CD, and you'll get a good lyric. style of tunes won't matter instrumentation wont matter could be a solo guitar, acoustic work could be a 4 piece band groovin could be a fukll orchestra dont matter dido isnt about any of that dido is about dido fans, a base that was built on a strong feel for an appropriate lyric, which, in her case, she writes (unlike the average Jenny) why am I telling you this, greenie? becsause you have a bag, thats why problem is that it isn't full yet
first 2 secinds Black Velvet feel
love the wurlt patch chouice tob have that ep up there like that, you needede the tynes sounding rhiodes would've killed it good producing decision great title, we have a work that features that as aprominent lyric, by not titled that lyric oretty much stays to the script suggestions, but only for re-do, or if vocals are separate in you space, great but, man, you have to know that MYSpace has got to be sang once, right? MySpace, once only, put it in like a giold brick in this wall i bwant ton listen to one more tune here soon dasnke
sorry for the (sp) i type fast and move on
word here isb that the line shoud be "You're In MYSpace" listener will hear "you're in my space" then, the listener will think that they thought of the MySpace idea themselves, so thats the idea when you list the lyric anywhere, you don't use the MySpace copyrighted way, and legal issues won't arise later (Jeff woin't ever go after people, because lots of people have done the rip, and will continue to do ripping, but if you ever made cash, they might, and would every right, to bug you or make waves to get the promo out of it) avoid that, entirely think ahead
Mr Elkins, How are things in Wisconsin? I looked at your pictures, and can see, you have rubbed elbows with some real stars. PSR would love to get their foot in the door, but probably will not. Thats ok, but we would love so feed back from you. We have three songs up, 27 all together. As a unit we chose these three, but I believe our best song is not up. We are thinking about joining at another level, but have received little attention to this point. Could you listen to Ancient Babylon, and tell us if we have enough talent to continue, or should we through in the towel. We record all our songs in the basement, on the computer. Also could you allow me to send you what I think is our best song directly. Its called LISTEN TO THE HEART. The entire time we spent on this song, was four hours from start to finish. Many have told us this song is very good. We would love some of your time, and expertise. Thank you if you can
Hi Roy, thankyou for your prompt reply. I have only just bought the BR 900 so have not got any material yet. My other songs were recorded last year using a Q bass program in my mates small studio. Thanks again, Pete.
FleetWood Mac guitarist? considered best guitarist on planet until Clapton arrive, 1968 happy to meet you :) now i listen also
Hi VeraForm thanks for your feedback keep on rocking cool Santa claws! regards Pete
I just love it...Veraflu you mean????LOL
Hi Roy Please can you tell me if the sound quality of music recorded at home on a Boss br 900 is good enough quality for licensing submissions? Yours faithfully Pete
Peter, Thank for the question, this is a tough one. I have heard recordings done a 4-track tape that would make the cut and others done on Pro Tools that wouldn't. I am listening to your list as I write this and it seems that your stuff is produced well, maybe a little more time mixing and eq'ing is needed. But the recordings, performances and arrangements are very good......Point me to a specific song of yours and I will listen closer and maybe I can give you a better answer to your question......Roy
Hi Peter. To answer your question, I agree with Roy it has been done. I recorded some of my songs on a BR1600 at home. Check out "Just my Luck" and the "Ghosts behind Me". All tracks where recorded at home except for the Vocals and Drums, plus sound Effects. What I did was take all the tracks into main studio and add proper EQ and effects. The biggest thing as what Roy has said was get a good performance and spend a little more time mixing anf mastering the final product. Hope this Helps Larry Vannatta
Hi Vannatta thanks for the tips on recording with a br900 I have listened to just my luck & The ghosts great songs & great quality keep rocking all the best Pete.

Hi Peter, Hey, I am so glad you liked my tune, "'57 Ragtop Chevrolet". I wrote it about my mom and dad. My dad passed away when I was very young, but they both loved American convertibles. I wish I had a model of everyone they owned. I'd love to hear yo do the song with your mates and send me copy. It sure is a rocking tune, great lyrics....etc. Oh yeah, you need to go into your PROFILE at Broadjam and "tick" the box that allows people to connect to you...this way, you build a social group of people right in Broadjam.
