Hi, Tom: Michele Vice-Maslin referred me to you. Love your song! I have a song I'd like you to demo in the same style. I'm also a Broadjam member. My email address is pete@petepapageorge.com. Please contact me. Happy Holidays!
Again thank you!
Pete, I want thank you for your great review of El Matador... I have to say as much as I would like to add to the song it is a cover from The Kingston Trio..you could probably find the song with them on YouTube... I am doing a cd of American songs that include all manner of folks and that was a hat tip to the Spanish speaking folks...I don't speak spanish so that was the close as I could come to it
Thanks for your note. I had no idea that was a Kingston Trio song! Good luck with your music!
Just listened to one of your songs, first one on your list... you have a really a great voice.... on my phone I can't give stars or playlists but when I have my computer open I will be adding your songs... a friend in music Delta🎶🎶🎶
Thanks very much, Delta, for your kind words! In re-reading your first comment, you could still do a rewrite of El Matador - that's kind of what the folk process is all about. Just as long as you give proper credit to the original writers of the song. Or, you could just forget all that and write a new one.
I wish I was a song writer...I do have a song I have been working on called The Ladies From Hell ... but my producer had to take the poem and make it melodic...I found it is not easy, that is why I love folk songs I know... no brained lol!.....musically yours Delta
lol!
Hi Pete. Thx for review of Facebook Addict. Yeah it's definitely meant to be funny not a true or serious song. It is actually not quite finished and I think your comments are on the money and reinforce this in my mind. I've gotten one comment that it "screams" to be sung in hard rock/punk style and your comment of a more aggressive singing style is in this same vein I think? I want to have it redone and incorporate these ideas. I also plan to have background vocals/comments inserted between the lyrics to further lighten the song and add to the comedic aspect of it. I'm stuck until COVID let's up. Thx again
Hi, Kate: Thank you very much for your 5-star rating for my song, "Bridge of Roses!" Happy Holidays! Pete Papageorge
You are welcome. You deserved it. Mrs Kate
Hi, Oskar: Thank you for your review of my song, "Tummy Ache." I wish you welll in all your musical endeavors.
Pete, thanks for the review of Love Will Find You. I agree about the acoustic and have been discussing about going in and "beefing" up the tune. Thanks again!
You're welcome, Marc! Not sure what you mean about beefing up the tune - I'd recommend streamlining the lyric. Check out some of the pop hits mentioned by the other reviewers of your song. Best of luck!
Thank you so much for your reviews of Feel My Soul and Every Day Is New. Your words were very encouraging, Toni
You are welcome!
Hi, Kate: Thank you for your wonderful review of Bridge of Roses, co-written with Barbara Robinson.Your comments were fair and spot on, and I appreciate the time you took to write them out. Really made my day!
Oh so glad. What a lovely song!
Pete. Thank you for your thorough review of 'Crystal Ball'. You're right the lyrics are a bit other-worldly. I'm glad you enjoyed the song. Regards. David.
Thanks for your reply, David, best of luck to you!
Hey Pete, Love Monday Morning...even though I am a morning person. Great tune! Fantastic lyrics and performance. YOU GO BOY. Mrs. Kate
Thanks very much, Kate!
HI Kate. Thanks so much for the review of 'Speed of Life' I had no idea how accomplished a Musician you must me with 200 + children's songs to your credit. In answer to your question about the song, the guitars (acoustic & electric) are real queued to a Yeti mic in stereo mode (recorded separately of course :-) The drums and sax are VST's using a MIDI input with a MIDI keyboard.
Okay, dumb question. What does VST stand for?
VST = Virtual Studio Technology which is the defacto standard for creating effects as well as virtual instruments when connecting your MIDI device (usually a keyboard but they make MIDI guitars) Supported in all the DAW's = Digital Audio Worstation. You name the DAW and it will support VST pluggins. A few DAWs that come to mind are: Protools, Cubase, Appleton Live, (Audacity which is free http://www.audacity.com 1 ) Here's a Wikipedia link on VST's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtu al_Studio_Technology Here's another link on the 10 best DAW's for 2018 according to this source. FYI, Cakewalk Sonar supposedly now free so I'll be checking it out. I hope this helps. https://ehomerecordingstudio.com/be st-daw-software/
Here's the correct link to Audacity. https://sourceforge.net/projects/au dacity/
Thanks! That's more info than I needed. I'm not a techie, but my producer is. I just write and play the songs on my guitar. He is a protools guy. Thanks for educating me!
Hi, Kate: Here's the link to my "Monday Morning" song: http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.php?play_file=3624_9293_2 1 Enjoy!
Pete, I believe you posted to my comment board not Kate's. SPG~Man
Very sorry about that. Happy Holidays!
Hi Mrs. Kate, It's so nice to meet you here at Broadjam! It's so wonderful to see another children's artist out here really making things happen and with such a large catalog of wonderful songs! Wishing you the very best! Thank you for reviewing one of mine too!!! Cheers, Amy
Thanks very much for your review of my song, Tummy Ache, Kate. Happy Holidays!
Yeah don't eat too many Christmas cookies! Ha Ha. GREAT song!
Oooo, my weakness! Thanks again, Kate!
I think the reason I liked your song so much is because of the crazy topics I write about. You're my kind of songwriter! (btw my craziest song title is "Who put a Toothpick in my Waterbed?")
My longest song title is "Why Can't Monday Morning Begin at Noon?" Lots of people relate to that one!
sounds great! Hope I'll get to hear it one day. But I love monday mornings and often arise at 4:00 a.m. Ha ha
Night owl here, guess we cross paths!

Thank you Pete!! I appreciate that!
Great sounding demo, too - where did you have it made?
At a Nashville publisher's in house studio. Thank you!!!
Thank you SO much!!!
Love the song
Hi, Kristy, thanks for your comment. Which song was it?
Hi Guys thanks for a great review of The Second Hand. I'd heard Pride & Honor before and liked it. You've got some strong songs with great arrangements & vocals! ~Jeff
Thank you, Lazie J, for your review of my song, "When I Go." Your comments were most helpful. I look forward to hearing your music. Best of luck! Pete
Hi, Billy: Thanks very much for your review of my Xmas song. I have high hopes for it, and your review confirms my deepest feeling about it. Best of luck to you! Pete
Hi, Asa: Thank you for your review of my Xmas song. I appreciated knowing that you'd prefer a more fleshed out version to "hear" the song & evaluate it better. My intent was to create a simple demo to get feedback on the words & music, and then to make a full demo later. I like to know if I' m on the right track before spending a lot of time & effort on more finished product. Your review did help me in making that determination.
Hi Pete! I do understand your way of thinking when it comes to demos and did so during the review too. We are doing the same thing with our songs. We did a studio produced demo with 12 songs a couple of years back, which was a lot of fun, but since then we are making very simple demos hoping to get comments on what we are doing before getting on with the "ornaments". Good luck with your Christmas song!
Hi, Kate: Thank you very much for your review of my Xmas song. I felt your comments were right on target. And I was grilled by the high rating you gave, the highest I've gotten. I have high hopes for the song, especially so coming from a pro such as yourself!
Great voice!!! You are welcome!
Make that "thrilled,' Kate!
Haha thought there might be a new meaning to the word grilled.
If you like!
