Good mornig PappaPhil, and thank you for your review of my song "That's The Way It Will Be" You are correct in as much as it would have been nice to have some brushes working in the song. Unfortunately, I only had enough money to get it done that way. The vocalist is Dee Alexander from Chicago, the guitarist is my son Scott Hesse and the bass player is Junius Paul also both from Chicago. You can check them out online. I had this recorded a year earlier with a young male vocalist named Milton Suggs from Chicago along with a full group. I didn't get quite what I was looking for (my fault for not being a better producer). I'm sure I'll do a third go round on this and get it right this time. Best to you and your career. Alan

Thanks 4 the review of Chinatown an night. Its primarily background music
Thanks for the review of u dont wanna know.
Thanks for the review of Electro.. This is for background music for film and tv. I wanted it just interesting enough that it doesnt overwhelm the scene.
Well for that purpose I think it's suits really well. I thought about writing that it might be suitable for background music, but I didn't mention it, because it might sound a bit harsh to call someone's song "background" music :)
hey PappaPhil thanks for a thoughtful review of "Make it Alright"! I'm listening to "String em On" now and liking much!! Jeff
Thank you for your review of I Still Love You - I will consider them.
Thanks PappaPhil for your review of Bully Boy Blues - which is quite inciteful. I take all your points and bear them in mind for when I re-record the song. Every success to you. Phil.
Thanks for comments on my song "walk on by", appreciate feedback and am currently working with someone to get production and backing tracks! Thanks Milly
Hi PappaPhil, Thanks for the review of my song "The Lost CHild" Yes it was for a scene in a film called "The Carousel", so the hesitations were deliberate. Thanks again , Felice Kaye-Cooper
Thanks for the review of "Hear Me Calling" I agree with you on the chorus. That was the way I wrote it but see your point on the groove. I will be changed thanks for the comment.
your welcome
Thanks for your review of Fiction Girl PappaPhil! very perceptive! How did you know I was struggling with my songs being retro! Yes - if anyone knows of a 70s show looking for a good pop slot for Fiction Girl - do please let me know! Thanks PappaPhil from the other pappa Phil!

Good stuff man, I hear a lot of influences here. Do you use live instruments? I'm most curious about the drums....
Thanks for the review of "when they come out"
The whole point of reviewing songs is to give the artist info about what u felt was good or negative about the song. Wrong Genre doesn't work when hop hop and rock are often mixed. When someone reviews ur music I am sure u wil want them to give u as much feedback as possible to make sure that u can get provide the best music possible.
Thanks for the review
Thanks for the review of "Make Some Changes In Your Life." No need to worry about me getting upset! I love and welcome constructive criticism. That is how we grow as musicians/producers. I wish I could implement some of your suggestions but this song was one of them that I lost when my system crashed. Keep being honest with your reviews.
Thanks for the review.. I will continue to work on making my songs better.Take care!

Thanks for the reviews of "Rap Anthem" and "Who Can You Count On." I appreciate the constructive criticism and I will definitely consider the changes you suggested.
I listen to yr 2 songs. Loved the rock jam.. The revolution is not over my Sister. Please lower the thrash guitar as it overpowers your vocals. The hook which is great should be above the music as for Walk Away, again great song, nice neo soul groove..vocals could use a little eq to make yr lyrics clearer . u r all talented and I want to work with u.
Hi PappaPhil. the vocalist is my god-sister. Thanks for checking them out. Walk Away and Were Mad Live are her songs. Did you get a chance to check out Live Ain't Easy? She is on lead vocals on this song too, but the band wrote the song together. If not check out let me know what you think. Have a great weekend and hope to hear from you soon.
just listen to the song. very catchy. the guitar on the first verse with the single notes is louder then the vocals. The vocals at the end should be the hook it is very dynamic. Very Marley tune and I can hear Teena Marie in yr Sisters vocals. great song. rerecord and master.
Hi PappaPhil. How are you. I just posted a couple of Hip-Hop cuts. When you have a chance check out We're Mad and Walk Away. Hope all is well and keep in touch. Peace & Blessings.
hi phil. I'm new to Broadjam and reviewing, so I hope the review was helpful. I felt a bit foolish after questioning the "oriental" flavour of the guitar, and THEN finding out the tune was called Chinatown at Night. doh! anyways, the more I listened to it, the more I like the flavour, so good on ya! cheers, peter
sorry it took so long..not a problem. Im not real happy with the song anyway. Im not sure of its direction. thanks for the review tho
