Hey Marilyn, Thanks so much for the 5-Star review of my Christmas song, "That's My Town At Christmas". It is a fun song and people seem to be enjoying it. I also posted another new Christmas Song, "The Christmas Train". It is a mellow jazzy-pop effort with a Boz Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby vibe to it. It is a sweet and endearing song that depicts someone going home to a loved one at Christmas. I was inspired by a tale my cousin's husband told me about him taking a train to see my cousin when he was coming home from a war. The idea stuck with me and eventually blossomed into a nice tune. Check it out at my site. I think you will enjoy it. Anyway, I hope all is well with you, especially with the world we live in which is unrecognizable to my thoughts of how it would be when I thought about "the future" and what it would be like.....40 years ago. deserved!!...question, the very first song on your page, i didn't understand the production decision on the very "bass" sound in the beginning, so didn't rate that one--maybe i'm missing something... all the best, Warren
Music has evolved so much it seems, and to make a song stand out, sometimes having repeatable sections like the bass beginning and then it arrives again later in the song makes it catchy and memorable. This is a topliner (instrumental w/ song sections) and I love writing to topliners, and the nmy cowriter or other will do a melody w/ my lyrics and then hire a singer. It's a nice and cost-effective way to do demos. Topliners are around 30 to 40 bucks (a leased track) and then hire a singer and or melodist singer and them mix and master. Most vocalist charge 150 to 250 for vox. So for 300 bucks you have a nice demo.
