Really nice :-)
Your Black Hat - I get a real picture in my head of the girl going downtown wearing the hat. Love the way she sings the song. It makes me think of a song called 'Black dress' by Ed Harcourt.
Gonna Miss Orlando - really like this. It describes exactly how I feel about Dublin!
Yau are writing parts ofmy own life, I have done this, really (Mix Taper) with the first girl I produced a CD fo. Recorded first on a cassette tape.
Thanks Lisa, I have written the song as GONNA MISS BILOXI and a couple others, too, maybe I will do one for Dublin, how would you do the line "..and I'm leaving on the Dublin highway..." for a cousin who also lives in Dublin. My entire ancestor family is from Dublin and Kincardinshire, Scotland, it is Arbuthnot. And if you can think of a good line for that, I will put you on it as Co-writer. might work. I really like your b/w Photograph, and will come back today to listen to your songs. Caio.
Myself being a poet, (Vee Bdosa the Doylestown Poet on Internet) your songs are all great poetry and then you throw in thy mesmerizing piano, I am hooked.
This one reminds me of a song Claudine Longet did years ago, THINK OF RAIN. Just in case you are not familiar with her, she was Andy William's wife. THINK OF RAIN is on Youtube.
Are you referring to Worlds of Wonder here? :-)
Yep, I hear a definite Beatles influence in this one, FOOL WHO PLAYED WITH WORDS. ou reached into my mind and wrote this song about me, I know you did. LOL
Hehe maybe I did! I think it's something a lot of people can relate to though. The song is about the commercialism of art (writing, music or whatever it may be) and how, for some people, it is just a way of expressing themselves and not necessarily a way of making money and finding fame.
another delightful 5 star for you
Another Dublin girl, I know several Dublin singers, and I actually have a cousin who lives in Dublin, her name is Anne Arbuthnot, part of the Arbuthnot clan I was happily born in. We are all from the Dublin area, county Down, and also Kincardinshire, Scotland. I love your music.
Great to hear you have family in Ireland and Scotland! I am actually English (and one eighth Scottish!) but have been in Dublin for 4.5 years. It's my adopted home.
I just knew your ending to this song was going to be like it is, and I love it. I love the song, assuming you wrote it. You have really brightened up this guys dreary New Jersey afternoon. I am sharing this with everyone, it is so unique and wonderful. Did you do the piano? Do you do demos?
Is this Something Real? I write all my own lyrics and arrangements and record everything myself. Thanks a lot for your comments. I really appreciate it!
