Nice tune Paul. Try experimenting with a more definite bassline with a little swing to it. Also try having the drums lock down a pocket and see what that sounds like.
Ok Guys (Lee and Shawn), I took your advise and simplified the bass line a bit while trying to maintain my original concept which was a Marcus Miller type bass, as in David Sanborn's albums. I changed the drums, mostly in the sax solo section to make it a bit more funky and I took out the synth in two of the unison sections but left it in the final one to give the ending a little more punch. The concept of the synth was from one of Michael Brecker's songs where he used a lot of synthesizers along with the sax. Thanks for listening to "Road Trip" and for your input. I hope the song is a little better. Peace and Love to you both!!

Hey there - Just wanted to pop by and first thank you for an amazing review of The Lonely One - and to ask if all of your tracks are intended as instrumentals only? Some of your songs, like Return of the Idiot have a very current and lyrical quality to them. They could absolutely be used in modern Radio compositions.
Thank you! Most of the tracks I do for Production/Licensing are instrumentals but I am working on adding some stuff with vocals for more placements... i figure if it has vocals then I have 2 chances of it getting placed, if I can submit the vocal and instrumental...

You just don't give nice reviews do you Lee? The vocals in Omniplay were not supposed to have a meaning or nature that can be understood. They were supposed to be rhythmic and melodic in nature.
