Hi to all my BJ family. Just giving an update haven't been sitting stagnant still writing new music. Have yet to finish the recording aspects of most. However I'm pleased to say be on the look out for a revised addition to my song Everywhere I Look in the upcoming days. I will also be releasing it with Outbound Music Radio hopefully as they have already been useing the current version. Stay well my friends. Look forward to being able to interact more once I polish up more stuff to release. Until then keep livin' the dream my friends.

Thank you for the very nice review of Amazing Grace.
Thank you for the nice review of Amazing Grace.
Great job.
Greetings & Blessings: So d tingo' (it is wat is) video song , is ah reggaedancehall chune. A fine mix of message, power of melody , rhythms, relevance in giving voice to the structurally disempowered youths. Whilst also engaging the youths to embrace the path 2 uprighteousness by staying away from drugs etc Positive & progressive vibrations defines Groovie Selecta Hope you enjoy the video Peace & light!
Like it don't understand the language but like the groove
Thanks much, John. It's a mix of Jamaican patois & some slangs from from Cameroon
Peace & light folks..Groovie Selecta is currently tweaking strategies to his urban dancehall chune, 'bossman', the 2nd single from his forthcoming 'Against All Odds. Video to the first single, 'so d tingo'(It is what it is) will be available after 3 business days. Bless up!
Can anyone kindly help with uploading the audio. All attempts to upload the wav file failed. Thanks
Just noticed this post. You obviously figured it out. Broadjam apparently only supports mp3 versions for audio. I had to install a music converter on my computer to turn my wave files to mp3 files. Peace and keep groovin' Groovie
ðŸ'Peace & light John
That makes the 2 of us John. Music is life. Resting in my bed to 'flight of the sparrow'. Blessings
Thank you for the support. I hope you enjoy the music.
Here's a qoute you may like " Music is the soul of the universe, wings to the mind, flight of the imagination and life to everything. " Plato
Oh fogot to mention the song title Flight of the Sparrow
My first attempt at writing something on the classical guitar. Not perfect by no means. But let me know what you think. I really liked your last imput on the sustained chords in Everywhere I Look. Just need to get back at rerecording it.
Hi John--so sorry about your Dad. This tune is a nice way to honor his memory. I really like the major/minor back and forth! You sound like a skilled guitarist.
Thank you. Means a lot.
Thank You for the very nice review on Everywhere I Look.
Hi Jeana I added some instrumentation on Everywhere I Look. Give it a listen and let me know what you think. Thanks JFC
Hi John--I like that you highlighted parts of the melody. Maybe some sustaining chords underneath the melody would be nice, too.
thank
Thank you so much for such a nice review on Nebraska Strong.
Thank You for the very flattering review on Everywhere I Look. Funny how you mentioned it for a movie scene because that's how I envision it to be as well.
Thanks so much for your review of Somethin' Blue. I'm so glad you liked it. It really means a lot to me...BSTILL
Thank you Kate for your honest critique of my version of Amazing Grace.
I think it's a creative start!
Thanks Sam for your constructive critique of my song "PoBoy Blues" As I'm sure you're well aware the old school blues recordings were as raw as you could get. That was the motivation behind that feel. They never could afford studio time for retakes and editing so mistakes and sound quality were part of what gave it the unique feel. Plus why put out a finished totally polished product does that not defeat the purpose. I'm a song writer not to be the final performer, manager nor producer. Otherwise in this day and age if I was I could handle all the tasks myself.
I've been at songwriting for almost 50 years. When we put out a recording, we have to endure the lumps and bumps. Not every listener expects the same thing. With dozens upon dozens of recordings (easily over 200) I've posted, different people give wide gamuts of reviews, even for the same songs, and I take each review with a grain of salt...even the ones that score 50 out of 50. Only YOUR opinion of what you do really counts in the end. Best of luck!
Beautiful
Sorry I should clarify that first song of yours Jeana Potthoff. Can't wait to listen to more when I have time.
Hi John--thanks for the 5-stars on "Adrift". I listened to "Until We Meet Again" and "The PoBoy Blues". Both cool guitar-ideas!
Thank you Jeana I played some more of your stuff you're very talented. My Brother even heard one and he agreed. My only complaint is you're taking up all the top ten slots... (joke) LOL...
Ha ha. =) I listened to Nebraska Strong. I really like the metal guitar!
Thank you. Figure I need to show just how diverse if a range I have. Might post a classical guitar piece even. If i can get it to record worth a crud. I'm having to jack up the mic sensitivity so much that my air conditioner fan has been drowning out the guitar.
For now just submitting some rough tracks and melody's to see if anything is marketable and having one heck of a time with my Forte program. Technology gotta love it...NOT!!!....LOL... Hope you all enjoy. Peace and Love to All
Thanks for sharing these John...lots of potential here...most importantly, you have a pretty good "clock" and the pieces sound musical... Larry
Thank you Larry
