www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CvvKQMC9zE Hello If you have time check out my new recording. New songs coming out next week. Feel free to share or leave a comment. Have a good day!
Hi Innes, I played "So Tired of Living" out of curiosity as it popped up on the BJ new songs banner. That's some smoking Blues and authentic blues guitar soloing with great tone (I find real blues playing quite rare actually, as opposed to flash guitar over blues changes). Well done!!
Thanks Jeff, i really appreciate your kind comment :-)
Really good song and performance!
You are the best
Amazing
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful songs
Great cover on "This Train" Innes; very soulful. Also listened to your "Where Are You", and was completely enchanted by your lovely acoustic guitar prowess; a beautiful piece! I am also struck by the photo of you in Austria, (that you have for your icon), reminiscent of a Rembrandt with the lighting, color pallet and expression; a lovely photo capturing your "in the moment bliss"! :-) Really fine music!
Thanks Cyndi, i covered the Bunny Wailer version of "This train" but there are so many great versions of this beautiful song. "Where are you ?" i wrote about my mum after she passed away several years ago, i'm glad you like it, i'm playing quite a few solo acoustic shows this year & am thinking about doing my next album with all acoustic songs. Hope all is good with you :-)
Yes, "This Train" is a lovely, blues-gospel tune that has withstood the "test of time", and I love hearing all the different interpretations; your rendetion is quiet inspiring. What a beautiful tribute to your mother! The loss of dear ones can inspire us, while also, cause us to ask so many questions, and your questioning brought about a lovely piece. All is well here, thank you!
Hope we all have a ticket for "This Train" Good job. "Fly too Near The Sun" nuther good one. I prefer to fly under the radar. It's safer there. lol
Thanks Calvin, will be taking this train over to check some of your music out too. Have a great day.
Hi Innes, Your incredible vocals on "I'm so tired of living" are spellbounding, along with that killer guitar work, as well as the whole package! Beautiful blues and a very soulful presentation. Looking forward to listening to more. All the best to you!
Thanks Cyndi, have just been enjoying listening to your beautiful voice.
Much appreciated Innes. Thanks for the connection, and for your kind words; glad you stopped by!

"Tell Me Baby" Simple but effective. Like the way you bend them guitar strings. Calvin
THE DAY YOU DIED is an amazing song Brian, just great.
Thank you so much Innes. Coming from you that means a lot. I'm so glad you liked it.
your new song "Where are you?" is absolutely beautiful. Guitar playing is soothing. Really lovely!
Wow thanks Kathy, i wrote it yesterday morning.
Even more impressive. I just love a guitar played that way. Can't wait to get to know more of your music. We need more of your music in the world.
Innes - I like Where Are You. The mix level is a little low when I listen. It would be good if you could bring the level up just a tad and maybe repost it. Great playing tho!
Thanks Don, yes i need to up the level & repost, will get round to it in next day or so.
Where Are You?......... Innes, wow a melodic masterpiece. I had to listen to it 3 times so that I could really appreciate some of the wonderful phrasing. In particular @ 1:04 then that section @ 1:59 - 2:11... boy I tell ya. had to play that one back a few times. So nice. and the harmonics @ 2:24. Damn that was an inspired idea. Another great one by Innes. thanks ...kenney
Wow thanks Kenney.
Really enjoyed "Where's Via", very cool.
Hi Innes, thanks i'm glad you liked it. I knew Newton was global just as children fumbling words is universal. CNN had lots of coverage. I could only watch bits at a time but I caught the story of Olivia and it knocked me back.. thanks again......... kenney
Nice job on A Dog's Life Don.
Really enjoyed "It's a dog's life" Don.
thanks Innes - appreciate that coming from a blues man like you !
If you have a minute please stop by for a listen at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Inne s-Sibun/79977242739 thanks.
Wow what a great song.
Thanks again, Innes. I've always liked the song, but wasn't sure what kind of reaction it would get (other than from my wife).
Years ago, when wisdom was just a word instead of a personal character trait, I joined the U. S. Army. Although it seemed the right thing to do at the time, suffice it to say, it was not one of my smarter decisions. Not too long afterwards, I found myself spending some involuntary time in Bosnia...195 nights to be exact. Approximately 3-4 weeks after arrival in Bosnia I received a letter from my wife with the following poem by e.e. cummings: i like my body when it is with your body. It is so quite a new thing. Muscles better and nerves more. i like your body. i like what it does, i like its hows. i like to feel the spine of your body and its bones, and the trembling -firm-smooth ness and which i will again and again and again kiss, i like kissing this and that of you, i like, slowly stroking the, shocking fuzz of your electric fur, and what-is-it comes over parting flesh . . . . And eyes big love-crumbs, and possibly i like the thrill of under me you quite so new ("i like my body when it is with your" by e.e. cummings from Complete Poems 1904-1962. © Liveright Publishing, 1991. ) Well, after reading the poem, a couple things crossed my mind: 1. It's nice to be missed; 2. This would make a great freakin' song. So, upon returning home, I eventually set some music to that poem and recorded it with just me and an acoustic guitar. I never planned to share this with anyone other than my wife, but it's been years and Valentine's Day is coming up. So... Turn up the volume to get the full throbbing, pulsating effect of the guitar. This is a true "lust" song. Happy Valentine's Day! "Kiss" www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php? artistID=86065&mediaID=598056

and, might you and your bride always know that kiss of shocking fuzz - cheers!
Thank you, Peter. 20 years and counting. There is no fuzz like the shocking fuzz of electric fur.
Thats a great song
Right on! I love the poem and the tune is great. Wonderful vocal performance and mood.
Thank you, Innes and Jeff. I generally find it difficult to write music to a specific lyric without changing the lyric in some way. In other words, I usually tend to adapt the lyric to the music. This was an exception...one of those rare times when what I was playing on guitar matched perfectly with the poem.
I agree with everybody above, especially Jeff = great vocal with an excellent vibe supported by the guitar, that has a real "alive" feeling of vibrancy!!! Nicely done, Anthony.
Thank you, Robert. Considering I never planned to set this song free, I've been pleasantly surprised by the response.
g-zan hoedown is very impressive.
Thanks Gordon i'm glad you like it.
hey innes, great guitar playing on million miles. i always enjoy hearing you perform. awesome live track!
Thanks Gordon, I love playing Rory's songs, he was such a legend.
Hi Innes, Great version of "Million miles away" Tommy
Thanks Tommy, you're very kind.

WOW, Janet!!! "The Other Side of Heartbreak" is a 5 star Masterpiece!!! Congratulations to you and everyone who worked on this song!!! Just Awesome!!! :) :) :) Rene
Thanks so much Rene for taking the time to listen. I appreciate your encouraging words.
It really is a beautiful song.
You are very welcome, Janet!!! :)
:) Thamks Innes. Very talented colaborators!!!
Who would have put the three of you together??? Such a great team. Amazing song!
Thanks for your comment Dianne. I suppose we do seem like an odd trio ... nevertheless ... a divine apointment that our paths would cross. Nick and Nathan were a delight to collaborate with!!! I really enjoyed the song you and Nick did together as well. Appropriately he says you are a rising star with a shinning light. All the best to you.
Thanks, Janet. Gotta love broadjam... :)
Great job on Station Blues. Man can you play guitar! And live too!
Thanks Brian.
What a fantastic guitar tone.... and playing... and voice... STEVIE RAY VAUGHN springs to mind... I want a tone like that :-)
Wow thanks Miguel, thats really kind.
I don't know, for me it was reminiscent of one of my all time favorites. A blues rockin Irish guy named Rory Gallagher. I enjoyed your work on the same level.
Wow thanks, i love Rory, several years ago we played the Rory Gallagher festival in Ballyshannon where Rory was born which was a great honour.
After reading the Rory Gallagher comment, I had to check this out. Great Strat tones, Innes. Some nimble fretwork too. I can see the Rory reference and the SRV as well. I was fortunate to see Rory play a few times. He performed with the kind of intense energy this performance had. Being compared to Rory is also an honor for any guitarist.
Thanks Robert, it certainly is an honour. I know Rory's brother Donal well from being involved with several tribute shows including one at the Iridium in NYC & he has so many great stories about Rory.
That must be fascinating hearing Donal tell Rory stories. I know they were very close and Donal was very involved. I have to admit, I've got Rory up on a pretty high pedestal going back all the way to Taste, "On the Boards" "Isle of Wight" and "Montreaux," and the solo stuff all the way, and as it evolved with the "Fresh Evidence" era which was so great in other ways. If he were still alive and I had a chance to meet him, we probably wouldn't talk about muted harmonics though, but rather his love for detective fiction of Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett. Rory was so ...larger than life.
Ha ha yes he loved his detective books. Donal told me once about the time they were late for a show & couldn't find Rory, when they found him he was out on the cliffs writing the lyrics to "Million mile away". I'll upload my version here on the profile.
Oh man, Innes, that was so incredible! That's one of my favorite Rory songs that I've listened to a billion times on "Irish Tour." You know, when I see that somebody's done a cover of something like Jimi Hendrix "Voodoo Child," or this song, I think -- oh-oh that's pretty ambitious and it's never going to come close. This really did, not that it's a replica, but rather captured a lot of the great (and pretty unique) sounds Rory was able to get, and was a brilliant expansion of some of the guitar ideas. Enjoyed that tremendously. Would you consider turning on the "Buy" button for that? I'd love to purchase it so I can listen to that version another billion times.
Cool, will do.
Hey Innes, Although I understand what Robert is saying about being compared to Rory. I was not drawing a comparison to Rory. Your work stands on it's own merit just fine. But I am just happy to hear that someone had picked up the torch and is carrying on the tradition of that style of great blues rock guitar work. Also glad to hear that people still remember Rory. I thought I would lose you on that reference
It seems that people all over the world still love Rory because of his music & also because of his charisma as a genuine artist.
Thanks very much, Innes. I did download it, and a few others. Was really pleased to see (hear) "What's Going On" there too. Great version of that, too. And by the way... Cool story about Rory out on the cliffs writing "Million Miles Away." Wouldn't be the same if the song were "Walk on Hot Coals," but "Million Miles Away" -- that makes a great story.
Hi Innes I'm not going to make the Tap this evening, bummer! I'm a whole lot better but not right.. I'm sure it'll sound great tonite Best Earl
Thats a shame Earl, hope you're feeling better soon.
Hi Earl, are we still on for you singing "Stormy monday blues" with us tomorrow at the cori tap ? It's my first show for 6 weeks since i had surgery on my elbow so hope i can still play.
Hi Innes I hope so.. I've got hit with this virusy thing, and has knocked me for six, mending now but I'll have to see how I wake up tomorrow, (might sound more like Tom Waites than me!) Sorry to hear about the op Will def let you know if i can make it
