Hi,
thanks for your review of The Ballad of Ben Doon, you are absolutely right about the recording...done in a back room on a basic portable machine for a bit of fun. You may be interested to know that the song was written by Pete Ballam, a founder member of 70s prog rock band Bram Stoker and he is the only instrumentalist on the track....I just put the vocals on because he wanted a west country(uk) accent on it...glad you liked it, thanks, Harry
