Thank you. Due to Covid, I had to have the singer sing it separately from my producer and him add guitar and music separately. What do you think of the new one? Is it more marketable? You told me after doing my review to get a hold of you if I was interested in having you promote it, esp if I did a remake with a singer that "knocked it out of the park". I am glad you commented because I had no idea how to email you back. Let me know if it is possible to have you promote this one, or if it you feel it is still not sync worthy. Separately, I subbitted another song to you for prof review, Little Bird. Since I submitted it, it won a song contest. I am looking forward to your review on that. thx

Hi Doug thx for Little Bird review. I like your reviews because you are honest and don't just blow sunshine like some other reviewers. Can you tell me what "noob songwriter" is? So I can fully understand your comments. Let me know pls what u think of Wonder Boy. I tried to redo and addressed the issues you pointed out. The guitarist had good meter and rhythm but unfortunately he did it in a different style then I did on the Wonder Girl. Although the rhythm is good, it may have lost some charm. Let me know pls if it still missed the mark or if you think it's git s good chance now for sync. Thx

I think "Wonder Boy" is ready for sync as-is. The new version seems to have elements of your version, but is it's own thing too. Shelby's vocal is really good. She seems like she'd have an ideal voice for songs used in kids TV programming; that's what I thought of immediately. I can see this song used in a "tween" or teenie-bopper show where the girl is too nervous to go up and talk to the guy, so she just drops the whole thing (then maybe in the story she ends up getting the courage). I do think that her voice only really lends itself to that idea though, not so much grown-ups. Does that make sense? The way she enunciates and delivers her vocal - is good, but it's almost TOO precise, which would work with kids TV, but probably not adults. That's my $.02. Hope it helps! -Doug
Thank you Doug. What is best way in your opinion to go about it? Should I just submit to certain sync opportunities that sound likd Disney type kids scenes ( I haven't seen too many of those). Or is it a separate arrangement you and I would potentially make that you look for the sync opportunity for it? Or should I email you privately to discuss?
Commenting here is fine. You'd probably need to keep your eye out for those types of opportunities and/or try submitting it for some different library considerations - because if it's in a library, it's possible that something like that could come up (versus trying to find it on your own / needle in a haystack situation).

I did submit Wonder Boy to 2 or 3 of those sync submissions that have your name on it, lets see what happens!
