Hi Ingvi! I really like your music. Glad I have found you. I see that one of your songs was chosen by Eddie, Music of the Sea as was one of mine. I wonder if you have received notification and a contract from him yet? Keep the music coming! Mary.

Who's Eddie? I don't remember this opportunity. What is it called? Anyway, I have not been contacted, so maybe that's why I haven't checked. By the way, like your music too. - Ingvi

Hi again Ingvi!
The contest was Music Library to Pitch to Restaurants and Store Retailers
Status: Contest completed July 31st. Your song Image of You was the second selected song from a whole list. In August the provider's name was provided which I discovered is a Chicago music library run by Eddie and is called Music of the Sea. Broadjam said he would notify us by message. The website is under reconstruction. So far nothing and my song is doing well elsewhere... Mary.

Hi Everyone!
I have just posted my latest single, MAMA GOT HER PARTY HAT ON (feat Donnie)- a country song recorded at Studio Pros. I created the song to raise money for Wounded Warriors. Every cent from sales of this song will go to Wounded Warriors. Would love to get Broadjam on board helping in this fund-raising effort! Thanks, Mary.

Thanks for adding Silk Pajamas and Chillin' With You to your playlist. I love your piano- very moving!

I see you use StudioPros in LA. I've recently discovered them via a Bulletin Board mention on the website Hoozik. They seem excellent. I'm thinking of using them for some of my songs but being in England I'd have to hand over to them 100% to interpret the song as I want. Risky - but they seem very good.

With How Do You Do That, Studio Pros took our original as the reference track and stayed pretty close to our original in style but improved the performance immensely! You can produce the song from England and make clear what you want.

Hello. Many thanks for the positive comments for my song Honey Man. It was co-written with the singer Maayan Amitov who found me right here on Broadjam. We now have two pretty good songs and another one on the way.
I understand about your song being on here for twelve years. I've got lots of old ones that I should delete - but it's a bit like putting to sleep a faithful old pet. Or is that just me ?
I've just listened to and rated your excellent song How Do You Do That. Loved it. A good 'foot tapper' and very clever lyric. I bet the Canadians will love it. Great singer again too. And written by an English woman ! Nice one.
Oh and excellent sound recording. Don't know what happened to the one I reviewed !!
Good Luck and much success in 2013. John.

Thanks for your review, Earl of No Words Needed which has been hanging around for review for five years there!! As soon as I heard the produced recording I realized there were indeed too many words and also appreciated the irony! However, the latest songs have far fewer words!! I actually wrote a Blues song this year and will be releasing it next Spring. Very few words on that one! Cheers, Mary.

Thanks, Broadjam members, for putting our instrumental, Swinging Right, into the Jazz-Swing Top 10. Exciting!

I want to wish all my fellow artists a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year filled with much Happiness and Success and Peace in the World.

Hi John,
I have just bought your single, Honey Man. Superb vocals by Maayan Amitov and neat lyrics, John.. A very laid back, enjoyable tune. Hope you will check out my new upload, How Do You Do That? (I'm a Canadian) recorded at Studiopros, Los Angeles. There are some new jazz tunes, Silk Pajamas and Thanksgiving in the Rain, you might like too. Keep them coming, John!

Hi John,
Turns out you have just reviewed one of our songs and found it to be distorted and scratchy. Perhaps you should consider that there was an internet problem as the song was professionally recorded and mastered and sounds very silky this side of the world! Having said that, the song should not still be on the review list as it was written twelve years ago!!

Myself (John Read) & Stopher Secher are songwriters who met via Broadjam. We wrote some excellent songs together and were contacted by singer & Broadjam member; Isaac Angel. He has since recorded several of our songs, FOREVER; & Album Title track; BODY MOVES. Both songs are extremely popular on the San Francisco Club Scene for Isaac. Now, Isaac has just been told that Body Moves is being played on US Airways in flight Hit List. (Roberta Flack discovered Killing Me Softly while flying across USA - so you just never know who's listening.) A successful meeting of writers & artist via Broadjam. Just enjoyed listening to Time is Running Out. Sounded as if you were having fun being annoyed! On another note, I just had a review from a pro reviewer who gave excellent advice but some categories puzzled me. The reviewer gave 4/5 for Vocal pitch, 3/5 for Quality of Vocal Phrasing and Performance and then 2/5 for Quality of Vocal. This was an appraisal of a professional singer who was singing our song. So what is quality of Vocal in relation to the other categories of Vocal? Confused in Canada! All the best, Mary.

Hi Mary, I hope this finds you well. Obviously, I didn't write this review, so I can't give you my thoughts on what the reviewer might be thinking. Although I think the vocal phrasing is very strong, I am not sure I would have scored the pitch as high, especially after 1:50 in the song. It's very good, but at times she is slightly beside the note. It also sounds as if the singer was a little congested and possibly got tired as the session wore on...With that said, I am really pickin' this apart. I do think it's strong enough to continue pitchin'. As the reviewer suggested, finding the right artist to pitch to is going to be a challenge....This has a real big band feel to it and I hear a much larger production if it ever gets cut. It certainly is reminiscent of another time, but may find a place with a singer who is not your norm as it has some crossover potential. Krauss, Gaga, Perry, etc. Hope this helps, Roy

PS - I wrote Time Is Running Out over 20 years ago about a family member who was annoying just about everyone in their life, including me. So you were right on. Thanks for your thoughts.

Thanks, Roy! I did not expect an extra review. Thanks for your time! I am continuing to pitch it as I think any person who takes the song can sing it and arrange it whatever way he or she likes, and a lot of people are humming the chorus of Silk Pajamas round here! Always good to hear from you. Thanks again, Mary.

Last week, we quietly launched a new feature that we have dubbed internally as "local music scenes." You can find this on the right hand side of the Broadjam home page under the "members online" feature. They are titled Genre and Country. This creates a "mini" Broadjam for local markets and specific genres. We have always had the ability find content through the search engine, however we wanted to make access to local music easier for fans. Check it out and let me know what you think.
