Just back on Broadjam after a couple years. Went to check on my favorite and saw that he had died. Will, loved your songs, they will live on.
What??? What happened?
I really don't know. i just got the information from other comments on the page.
Geez. That's intense.
Beautiful and true song about our journeys ...
Truly a super talented and nice guy who was taken from all of us way too soon.
I'm so sorry to hear this news. I never got to know you well on this site but knew of you and your exceptional work. You were a talented man. Rest In Peace Will
Will's story is something I've just stumbled on - truly amazing. Left the practice of law to pursue his dream as a songwriter and ended up in the songwriting finals of American Idol! A great talent who will be missed. http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2008/04/23/law-blog-former-lawyer-of-the-day-will-hopkins/ 1 "What a long strange trip it's been..." ...but I feel blessed to be part of this crazy community that follow their muse instead of the money. RIP Will. -Al
Thanks for sharing this article Al :)
Will, I know you not there but if this page lives on I'd like people to know just how much your music touched, well, everyone. From "That Ain't My God" to 'My Devil Does" To (Top of my list) "Different". And that's just my top 3. Rest in peace Will, you'll surely be missed, Hank Thomas
Thank you for your humanity... Thank you for joining us on this journey "none of us" may ever understand. Your contributions will echo through time, inspiring, comforting... Reminding us all of what it is to be human. Thank you for being a part of our lives. Rest in peace sir. You are appreciated. N
Cash crop.. Hands Up
I agree
I wanted so much to work with you when we both were in the DC area, and then in Nashville, but knew that my age was against me. Strangely suddenly four of my songs have been picked up by a Hollywood studio. Please come back to the music--your depth and imagination are still needed in if only on Broadjam contests. Your professionalism is needed and shines out among so many amateurish songs. I have some unfinished songs by my gay friend Tom Erik Bradley who went and died of AIDS some years ago. Maybe you would like to help him bring them to life. Check out his "My Waking Dream" on my Broadjam songs list for a feel of his brilliance. Written with admiration and friendship
Just checked out "Different"... Brilliant... well done, Will. Posted it on Facebook with Kudo's to you. Joe
great stuff
awesome
love it
Wow...what an amazing and powerful song. That is my God either. This song is so moving that it brought tears to my eyes and just and incredible song in al aspects. Vovals and instrumentation were impecable. God Bless you Will for your strong belief and faith and not being ashamed to spread God's love.
So sorry for the typos, but the mist in my eyes is to blame...lol

Will, Just wanted to personally congratulate you on your 6 Pack win. Its one hell of an accomplishment and demands respect from the average producer. Congrats sir. N
great
WILL, Thank YOU for the nice review! song is called " DANCING TO PATSY CLINE AGAIN." I have written the lyrics, but haven't gotten a vocal yet! I get shot down for the sax, but if you can imagine the vocal will take the place of it! TAPPIN' TOMMY
Hey Will. Awesome job on You Don't Miss What You Never Had. I think the title would be better at "What You Never Had". Just to let you know, you have the lyrics for another song posted for it. Keep up the outstanding writing.
Congratulations
Will, I really like "Do It Again."

Congratulations winning the Steinberg competition!
Will, congratulations on winning the Steinberg competition. Great tune and a really nice recording. Do you record your stuff with a regular group of musicians in Nashville? Been listening to some of your other songs on Bjam and am impressed with the professional production, and the fine lyric writing. Again, congrats and continued success, Nashville is a tough gig...... Bill
Congrats, Will, Always nice to get recognition from your peers. You deserve it. Great songs! Best of luck in the future. All it takes is one song. Ask my buddy, Gary Baker. His song, "I Swear", changed his life and many, many other lives, too. Chet Nichols
