Thanks Diane for the stars, much appreciated! ONWARD! Warren
You bet!!! I'd give it 6 if I could :)
Hey, Dianne. "Hocus Pocus" is one of the very best songs I ever heard about someone who is so adept as a subtle, sly manipulator; the kind that has you slipped into something poisonous before you're even aware of it! The title and lyrics are really strong and have a different way of telling the story that's memorable.
Thank you so much John and thank you for the 5 stars!! I appreciate your support!
Hi Diane! Hocus Pocus I'm hearing as a gem. A real cool singer/songwriter folk rock gem, with some polish of course but so damn well conceived and I can hear it lady! Kudos and much luck with the tune! Warren
Warren! Thank you so much! I wrote it last year in a weekly song challenge. The topic was "the past is reappearing". I think it's kind of funny, especially "I really should be going before you cut me in half". I laughed so hard writing that line. I love the new "I'm That Other Guy". Great lyrics and production! I can't give it stars on my phone but there will be 5 on there soon!
ditto lady, when on my phone there's no option! urgh! keep on creating, now you were kidding with "disco" please say so...or i need new ears (which are so big maybe i do!) cheers, wh
I really like "10,000 Cuts". Are you going to record it in studio? I would love to hear it done in studio and clearer.
Thank you Randall!! Yes, I do plan on recording it in studio. I appreciate you taking the time to comment! :)
And He Can't Fun? That song haunts me so much. I'm not sure why it must be a super good song and also I was always a fan of Bruce Jenner I think you're crazy if you don't try to do some thing with that song in market
Meant He Can't Run. Not He Can't fun
Haha fun works too! And thank you again! So nice of you to say. :D
What Jeana said! Thank you John!! Great job on Stay Here Now!!
Thank you very much, Dianne! I love hearing someone else's vocals on my song. Your vote of confidence means a lot to me! You really know your stuff! I've been watching "Sonar," too, and I enjoy that it is doing so well!
Wow Jon, Hearts Bleed Fire is so good!!
Thank you so much! I worked on this track for about 3 years before i finally released it.
Hey John!! Broadjam Earth! Congrats!!!
Thank you much, Dianne! My third to go there. I've followed you on the charts, too: "Can't Eat Money," "Sonar"...and giving a thumbs up every time I see them. ("Arrows" hit the top last summer!) That's very nice of you to send me a congrats! Thank you!
Oh, I'll drop by your pages (both) this evening after work to see what you've been up to and to listen to some songs I haven't heard.
Thank you!! I look forward to hearing more of your songs too!
Waves: terrific appealing, catchy tune with an anticipating beat, like a heartbeat. Restless lyrics where you know you want to see the tide change and tear away. Sounds like much of my life, wanting to somehow climb up to be equal with everyone else; yet wanting, even insisting, on having myself be accepted and for it to be okay to follow my own path, against the grain of how everyone says you're supposed to do it. It's a great song!
Thank you John, I really appreciate your support. You are so kind. :)
Hey Hank, thanks so much for the playlist adds and stars for You Can't Eat Money! I appreciate ya!!
10,000 Cuts: This is one of those introspective songs that make you think. I particularly like those.
Thank you John, that's the best kind of compliment! :)
Hi John, thank you so much for the playlist add for You Can't Eat Money! :)
You're welcome! You have several very well written, thoughtful songs. Thank you for stopping by! That's very kind. So many people just take things like this for granted. For all who see this, go to Cindy From Boston and listen.
So sweet thank you John!
Don't worry about it... Old Testament Gustav is more interested in burning witches and warlocks than understanding them. It is unfortunate that he chooses to hold public executions frequently. It is even more unfortunate that I lack the control & temperance to "shrug" his hostile insinuations off as I should. His business with V is his own. I am not the one who insists on bringing up a subject he knows so little about. It is not something I like to discuss. I honour my mentors memory by playing the roll he asked of me. Why this is even a discussion is beyond me. Yet he will not let it die. Regardless, I felt my soul sink a bit when I watched a seemingly complete stranger nuke everything he doesn't know about me... And act like that is acceptable behaviour in a public forum. I wish him all the best.. and encourage he seek out peace of mind by sticking to his art, his passions, and choose to not destroy the hard work of others, or their dreams... No. We build people up. We heal. We create.... We don't do public hitjobs over a beef with a man that's been dead for half a decade. No... Sorry. I will do better. You deserve better. 6
Nothing but well wishes to both of you. :)
And see... another witch burning not even a day later. It's no wonder the good lord intends to end the world in fire... He can see clearly how much we love it. Creator bless, stay safe. 6
Randall, thank you for the 5 stars for He Can't Run! You're the best :)
I'd give it 6 stars if I could!
Wow!!!! I LOVE this! I wish I had my laptop to give 5 stars. I can't rate in my phone. Your voice and style of singing reminds me of Joni Mitchell and I love her songs. Beautiful song!!!!
Randall, thank you!! I appreciate that more than you know :)
No, thank YOU for such a beautiful song. I’m definitely getting on my laptop later to give 5 stars. I listened to it again. It’s so organic and haunting! You should submit it for movie scenes if you have not already.
I really appreciate that! I listened to your song Wonder Boy. What a great song--I could totally hear it in an indie film.
thank you, I have been trying to get it, it got picked as "under consideration" from a few currently, waiting to hear if it gets selected. I hope!
Best of luck to you!!!
I love the haunting melody and guitar. Lyrically meaningful and given a good push with the melody. Your vocals are wonderful. Five stars. This would be a great song on any folk rock album.
John, thank you so much! That means a lot to me :) I look forward to listening to your songs!!!
Terry, thanks so much for giving my song Sonar 5 stars, I appreciate it!
My pleasure. It's really good work!
Susan, thank you so much for the 5 stars on You Can't Eat Money. I really appreciate it! How are you?
I was just going to have some for dinner too! ;0) I like it! Interesting piece :)
Too much, too little space? thanks ;)
Nice to see you at the top of the acoustic can, Hank!
Yeah, we'll see. How do you like my outfit?
Very retro. I like it.
Nice job on the arrow tune kid--i love your vocal... Kudos WH
Wow, Warren, thank you so much! Very kind of you to say. :)
The guitar/production is a bit weak ;)
Yeah but the tune is "there". One of these days I'd like to hire you to sing one of my tunes...
I would be down!
good, now it will be a resing or a new one...it may be awhile, as i work slow... xoxo
Ps--great lyrics too!
oh heck, just saw the playlist ad (i don't do them...i'd be here all day!) much appreciated again! wh
Of course!! :)
thanks much for the recent stars--always appreciated! warren
Much deserved!!
Wow Warren, you're an incredible songwriter!
Well you've made my day! And yeah I am at least versatile if not appreciated by our Bjam family but heck I started at 54 and I'm 68 ion Friday. A sincere thank you!! Peace Warren
Goes to show it's never too late!!! I wish you a very Happy early Birthday!
Thanks much--just listened to your top listed 4 tunes and I am impressed! I couldn't give you the stars from my phone (may be a Bjam issue hell I broke down and bought an XR which is cool...) but once I get to my studio and peace/quiet I'll rate them. You know your rough demos resemble mine, but your voice is better! I usually on my Boss 1600 with pecking pieces from my crappy roland 70 come up with 4 tracks and my complete idea--then send to my main producer and the bavk and forth hoes on for weeks! Important thing is to get to a point where you're happy and you've done all you can to express your musical/lyrical ideas Damn that was long winded--we've been couped up in California for 5 weeks (we started a week early in the Hein house...) ok I'll shut up. Stay safe! Warren
Yes, patience is definitely a good thing. I am lacking! :) Thanks so much Warren.
I'm gunna email you a question on BJ email later--a suggestion nothing weird!
Ha! Ok!
Thank you for the 5 stars on 10k Cuts!!
well, well, Dear Lady, poopaloo, the straw, will never break your camel's back. keep writing, conjuring whatever your imagination allows. thoughts, experiences, memories and imaginations are precious, no matter who you need to be
Thank you so much Peter! Seeing how poorly I have kept that ruse I could never have an affair ;)
