hey people loved Celebrate...the vocals really make it. Can you tell me what if anything you are using on the voice? How did you record it?
Thanks!!! I don't do a lot of singing so the vocals are pretty over processed to get the effect... nothing too exotic but a bunch of eq's, compressors, and a little reverb. Just did the whole thing using Cakewalk and a somewhat dated emu interface (still works though!). Thanks again for the interest...
what kind of mic did you use? Were the compressors plugin or analogue? Can you tell me what kind?
Sure... it was an sm-58 direct into am emu "tracker pre" interface. The processors were all plugs, mostly the built-in cakewalk ones and toneboosters stuff. Honestly though there was no method to it really, just messed with it until it sounded as close to what I was trying to get at as I could approach. I do wish I knew a lot about this stuff but I'm pretty much trial and error'ing it at this point. Again, thanks for the interest though! Glad somebody else at least heard the track!

No problem on the critique, I always write how I feel. "Why Y'all Hate Me" was written and produced by me and performed by all 5 of my children. We recorded it about 4 years ago. Thanks for your support.
That's great... I was going to comment on what a great job the kids did. You have a seriously talented family. If you don't already have them on other stuff you should (I think) 'cause they sounded great.

Thanks for the review on Barefoot in the bar - by- Mink and Cheef's Electric Band Appreciate the positive feedback....all our tunes on broadjam are still in the production phase and have yet to be mixed and mastered...(still kinda rough drafts) Defininately will try to brighten it up more and clean up the guitars.
