"Still have dreams" shone out so much in the reviews for the song of the month I had to come and find it. It's 1am here in the UK so I cant play too many other tracks right now but I can see why you got your induction. Like Tommy said, awesome music!!

Hi there
Thanks for the kind words..However I'm not sure what induction you are referring to? And not sure who Tommy that you referred to is
If you could explain it all to me I would really appreciate it so much!
And I am happy you like Still Have Dreams! Thanks

Hello Ed. I didn't recognise the time frame which might have been confusing, it was early this morning :-). I was just being a good broadjammer and listening to the song of the month entries and your song had special appeal: a compelling lyric and the ADT on the vocals was very effective. I inferred the title and found your home page to explore more. Your bio starts "In late 2004 Ed Bentley was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame" ant that was what I was acknowledging. Similarly I just amplified the "awesome" by reflecting Tommy Patterson comment but "over 30 days ago" could mean anything in broadjam terms. We make music in very different genres and I suspect my offerings will not be to your taste but that's cool; although the Washing Machine Music (kinda parody) is getting a lot more love than I expected.
Anyway have a great day and I'll share some kharma to wish you get selected in the contest. Warmest regards, Bob

Hello Bob
Thanks for responding.. I was surprised to learn of your connection to Bob Moog.. I live in East Aurora New York, where the Moog facility is still located.. I listened to your washing machine song and found your synthesizer really good... And wow, it has over 800 plays!

Oh yes, Tommy Patterson is a Broadjam friend, and very talented... Still not clear on the contest thing though, I do know I submitted my song a while back.. So, Tommy and others are talking about it? I'm an old dude and a bit tech challenged...
Not even sure what contest it was..

Well thanks for your response and kind comment on Still Have Dreams..
best to you,
Ed

Hi Blob_B,
Thanks for the 5 stars on "Mom's Journey Home". I appreciate you taking the time to listen, and I'm glad you liked it!

While I'm here I'll check out some of your music.

Be and stay well,

You're welcome. I'm trying to re-instate my presence here (not just CoVid but the former Day Job getting in the way) so engaging with the peer review process and "Spring Time" was a particularly pleasant surprise. I'm mostly about cheesy synth that may not be your thing but you might like "Alistair Stonewall" in a similar way. It's 5/4 so unavoidably compares to Mission Impossible - now all I need is someone to create the cartoon series for it to go with :-). Have a great day, B

HI Blob B. Thanks for the nice review of my instrumental, "Winds About The Sounds"! I appreciate you feedback. I am not Dan Pound, nor is the sone of his soundscapes. My name is Chet Nichols and I am a long-time member of Broadjam. This particular piece comes from my instrumental album, "Earth Cues", which was created for a client looking for weird, spacey cues for a sync library. As usual, I sent it off and got a thumbs up but never heard anything since. Funny thing is he "needed it right away", so I cranked out the whole album, start-to-finish, in 3 weeks. You can review the whole album at my Broadjam site of at: https://chetnichols.net/sound-desig n-earth-cues-instrumentals. While you are there. stop bye and listen to a new album I completed, "Flying My Pyramid".... some delicious stuff on it, mostly longer pieces for films: https://chetnichols.net/album-flyin g-my-pyramid. All that said, I wish you well and thanks again for the nice review! My Best, CHET NICHOLS

Hi Chet. I knew Dan from a long time ago and was wondering how he was doing and then Broadjam played me your track. I realized after of course. I'll be sure to check out you other tracks later but for now I still have to do the day job. Happy to connect as you see. Best B

Hi Simon,
thank you for your review of "Milkway drive". The song is classified "Unique - Soundtrack" and is part of my compositions for movies and multi-media I'm writing. It's also the overtoure of a project about transhumance that I will publish in the next few months.

Haven't been on broadjam for a while and can't figure out from the comments how your wrist is doing. I hope you are getting mend Ok; I have no idea how long it takes to get how much better but thinking of you. I'll share an amusing moment with you to help cheer you up if necessary. I wanted to emulate Wendy Carlos and made a "Switched On" Scarlatti sonatta (although she doesn't like to discuss it, possibly after some cruel comments in later years I think, she was originally born Walter). My realisation of K492 in that style is now in the broadjam FEMALE top 10. So have I made the grade with an honorary gender change? Yay WIN! Hope you are back to full health soonest. PS as far as I can tell no structural changes

Hi Blob_B,the old wrist is improving, I had a bad complex fracture but it is healing slowly.I am experiencing upper arm ,painful spasms or cramping when I move my arm certain ways but I'm seeing the doc today and maybe he can advise and explain things...Probably just part of the process...Hey I really like that piece, good energizing swirling adventure and it did cheer me up.Made me chuckle it made female top ten..Yes you made an honorary gender change mysteriously! Thanks for checking up on me and keep creating! :)

Hi David,

Thanks v much for your helpful and encouraging review of my song "Do you remember" which I wrote for my parents who have since both passed on. I will delete the MP3 on my account and search out the full version at 4.20 seconds.

I was really impressed with instrumental version of "I can see it in your eyes". Outstanding guitar playing and very evocative. Get marketing and see if a Music library will use it for a film!

Hi David,

Just to let you know that I have now 're-loaded' up "DO YOU REMEMBER" which has a 5minute 11 second version on there. Have played it and it does not cut out! Thanks very much for letting me know about that! This song I recorded years ago (about 10!) Using Cubase and have long lost all the Cubase editing files! I now use Logic Pro which is a heck of a lot more stable than Cubase. I will be sending off this track to SCAMP STUDIO for them to re-record for me around September. They work closely with The Guild of International Songwriters & Composers and their re-arrangements + re-recordings are usually top knotch! I am not a bad player but have not really focused on being a great player because I have too many other interests. Last year I wrote a geo-political forensic thriller (first in a trilogy) am now busy on second draft. have secured the help of an established writer called Adam LeBor as a mentor and hope to obtain a literary agent some time in 2015!

Good Luck with your own music, you have an impressive portfolio and some great songs!

Cheers amigo

That's OK. Not to worry. It seemed as if the message had gone to the wrong person. I received a mis-directed message from someone else recently. I wonder whether it is an IT problem. If so Broadjam should be told because potentially there could be something confidential or embarrassing in a message that a third party shouldn't see. David

bLOB b - Thank you for your review of "Corn Liquor and Marijuana". It is kinda between a sketch and a finished song. I was practicing my production chops. THe echoed line was on purpose. I have thought since that I would remove it from the last verse, and only have it on the 2nd and 4th line of the 2nd. Am in process of rerecording it now that I have newer/better gear, and have listened to this version for a bit.
Thanks again...
