On Saturday, January 15th, at 8pm, at The Buskirk Chumley Theater in Bloomington, Indiana, Tim presented his "Euphoric Owls" CD Release Concert. The concert featured Tim, The Brown Sisters, and special guests Dan Reed, Buff Brown, Ariel Simpson, Amanda Biggs, and Brian Allen. This concert featured music from the "Euphoric Owls" CD, and songs from Tim's upcoming CD, to be released later in 2011, entitled "Carry Me". This CD has comedic and serious songs, written or co-written by Tim. Imagine a combination of Arlo Guthrie, Regina Spektor, Pat Metheny, and Johann Sebastian Bach, if you can! The January 15th concert also featured a couple comedic skits: imagine Victor Borge meets Saturday Night Live!

Reviews from previous Tim Reed and The Brown Sisters shows:

"a rare mixture of inspirational and mind-calming music...one leaves a Tim Reed performance with a renewed confidence in the human spirit" (Kip May) Kip May Photography

"Haunting. Hilarious. Fluid trails of piano punctuated by lyrical voices" (Breshaun Joyner) Actress, Playwright

Reviews from Jan 15th Concert:

"That was AWESOME!!! I laughed, I cried, and everything in between. Really amazing, beautiful ... words fail me.

but... I've recovered enough to share a few. We all LOVED it. You reached across generations and made everyone feel. Quiet and awed. Smiling tender and smiling warm. Touched and blessed. What talent you've collected around you; they complement you well. Ariel was breathtaking!

On the way home, we were talking about all the things we liked and Ryan said he's going to write songs for his next album and as soon as we got home he sat at the piano and now he just asked for blank sheet music so he can write down the piece he composed. :-) So, your evening just keeps on giving. :-)"

"Really loved your show at the B-C. I think Twilight is probably the most beautiful thing I've ever heard."

Reviews for the Euphoric Owls CD:

"I love your CD! I listened to it again this morning and was blown away by you & the Brown sisters. The vocals are flawless & your piano playing is inspirational. I think my favorite song is Azure Skies. It's beautiful. Your vocal reminds me a little of Kenny Rankin who died a few years back." (Cliff Thortney)

"I found the compositions and the performances of each piece make for a very enjoyable listening experience. Timothy Reed has an ability to make piano music not only beautiful, but fun as well. Any piano lover couldn't help but to appreciate Timothy's technique and flow to the album, with all of it's complexities of vocal harmony (sung by the highly talented Brown Sisters) and piano. Several masterpieces, in my humble opinion, include Cameraderie/The Arrival, Azure Skies, Flying, and the title track Euphoric Owls. The album production from Dave Weber's Airtime Studios is top notch, and I also found the songs are structured in such a way that seems very pleasing to listen through and through, again and again. Give a listen and see for yourself."

Hello Timothy!

Congrats to your latest film placement for "Various Cinematic Instrumentals"!
I had a track under consideration as well for that opportunity, and I'm happy that, at least, someone from the Broadjam community got it! :-)

Best Regards & Good Luck with future opportunities!
/Christian

Thanks so much, Christian! This is the first time my music has been selected, and I've been on Broadjam for nearly 2 years. I can't wait to hear officially from the people doing the film! So keep trying. I'll check out your music soon:)

Hehe... I guess it must be really exciting, so enjoy the ride! I have had some pickups from libraries and cable tv channels here, but nevery any "cash deal" like this. Still looking forward to that. But at another site, I've had two TV placements within the last month - very lucky, I guess. Those placements got me some sync fees, although much smaller than this one (both

Both less then $100, but they will hopefully give me some royalty payouts. Here on Broadjam it's really hard to land the deals since the competition is so hard (but the reward is often higher). So many great music writers here. All right, time to get back to work.
Take care & Keep up the good work!

Hi Christian, listened to 3 of your tracks. I like all of them, but I think Abandoned Place of Melancholia is my favorite! It is disturbing and haunting and lush in a good way! Nice textures! I noticed you are from Lund, Sweden. I have been there! I played "Woof" in a European tour of the musical "Hair" awhile back. I loved Sweden! That's great that you have landed some things already with your music. Thanks for sharing your experiences with it. It helps to know what other talented composers are going through. Thanks so much for your interest and support. Cheers, Tim

Ah, so you've been to Lund! Wow, it's a small world! :-) ... I've been to the States a couple of times as well - fantastic country, wonderful people.
