Barbiana Complex, a NY-based noise/psychedelic/improv trio, has played the NYC club circuit, such as CBGB's , Don Hill's, and Sin-e, since 1995. Influences include Sonic Youth, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, and Suicide. Featuring singer/songwriter/guitarist Barbara Solsky on vocals/guitar, Mike McCann on drums, and Warren Kitt on bass, Barbiana Complex has collaborated with various guest musicians, including Elliott Levin, David First, and Daniel Carter. Barbiana Complex recently released the EP, "Statue Strikes at 12" as well as "She Stole My Star," produced by KRAMER. The EP "Year of the Dog," released in 2000, received critical acclaim in Germany.
