Story Behind The Song
We were on the motorway from Berlin back to Holland and the argument started. We ended hurtling along at 60mph slugging it out while I tried to keep the van on the road. The song woke me up later that night.
Song Description
Looking forward to a quiet breakfast, or a cosy evening in front of the fire, our hero is constantly nagged to breaking point.

Lyrics
(Don't You) Lay It On Me
© bo callaby
Woke up this morning feeling good in my head,
Breakfast with you now I wish I was dead
chorus: Don't you lay it on me, Don't you lay it on me
You got your troubles, that ain't no lie
But just pack 'em in your bag and wave 'bye-'bye
chorus: Don't you lay it on me, Don't you lay it on me
refrain: You know I just can't take any more
I'm feeling so low it's like I'm always looking up from the floor
Got all the troubles in the world right here in my lap
And you come bursting in here giving me all of that crap
chorus: Don't you lay it on me, Don't you lay it on me
Just wanted to get into bed last night,
All you got me into was another goddam fight
chorus: Don't you lay it on me, Don't you lay it on me
refrain: You know I just can't take any more
I'm feeling so low it's like I'm always looking up from the floor
You got your troubles, babe, and that ain't no lie
But just shove 'em up your ass now and wave 'bye-'bye
chorus: Don't you lay it on me, Don't you lay it on me
Yeah, I'm feelin' so low, I'm so out of luck
This world's so goddam crazy I don't give a flying duck
chorus: Don't you lay it on me, Don't you lay it on me
