Linda Golasky
Linda Golasky, songwriter and lyricist, is partnering with Gail Quillman, pianist and arranger, to create compositions of vision and spirit. Their compositions from show tunes, jingles, instrumentals, and cheers to inspirational music of hope, are voiced in sheer poetry and easy listening genres.
Linda studies piano, music theory and composition with Gail. Linda is a former student of Erna Salm and currently teaches beginner piano students. She is on the Board of Directors for the Advent Chamber Orchestra and has also served on the Board of the Grace Welsh International Prize for Piano. Linda is the President of Purple Octave, L.L.C. and Purple Octave, L.L.C., Publishing.
Gail Quillman, is a pianist, educator and the arranger of Linda's compositions. She studied piano with Grace Welsh and music theory with Leo Sowerby at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. She is a major proponent of Sowerby's piano and chamber works, having recorded his works, Leo Sowerby Piano Works and Trios by Leo Sowerby under the New World Records label, and Leo Sowerby Music for Violin and Piano under Premier Recordings label. Gail was the founder and artistic/executive director of The Grace Welsh International Prize for Piano for 20 years. She has concertized throughout Europe, South America, and the U.S.A., and teaches piano and music theory.
