I was born in Old Town in Chicago. My best friends were the DJ's that spun the latest hits of the modern day philosophers. I started writing poetry at age thirteen & at fifteen I bought my first guitar. At nineteen I started doing Open Mic Nights & people said I was a natural. I played in various versions of the band JUSTUS in a tri-state, Chicagoland circuit for 10 years. In 1992 I had several songs featured on the Chicago Songwriters Showcase on WVVX radio & in 1995 I appeared with Justus on CLUB 51, a local cable TV show in the Chicagoland area. You never know where the road will lead but as someone once said, "it's good to have an end to journey to, but it's the journey that matters in the end."
