For Johnny Vanderlip, music is a sacred calling, a devotion that cannot abide with crass commercialism or phoniness. He maintains a strong commitment to the best he has to offer. His greatest gift is his innate lyricism; his best melodies and coupled lyrics rivaling any other songwriter anytime.

Johnny's music has the capacity ot reach into our hearts and bones and tap into what it means to be alive. His collaboration with Michael Hollingsworth won Love Song of the Year in the Dallas Songwriting competition.

He is a true original, unbound by the constraints which ensnare so many artists of the day.

Hey folks,
I'm in the studio again. I finished an Americana tune called Where Do We Go From Here. It's a true story about 2 brothers who fought on opposite sides in the civil war.

I recorded another tune called Sticky Blue Goo. I collaborated on that one with a great writer by the name of Greg Hollister.
I also completed a contemporary rock tune called Holding Onto Yesterday and I'm working on a piece now that's about a serial killer.

I'm always into collaboration. If you're interested, give me a shout!

Really enjoy the pathos of Annie's Song.
