I’m a guitar player since 1994 and started playing with rock bands in ´96. From 1996 to 2000 I studied music composition at the Center of Musical Studies and Research (CIEM) in Mexico City. I have written and still writing music for image (Cartoons, short films, etc) and music for chamber orchestras.
I love to perform so in the year 2000 I started a singer/songwriter career and I have released 2 albums.
My song "Contigo ser el aire" iin the soundtrack for the Spanish-mexican movie "Tres:19" in theaters march 2007.

With "Una Y Mil Veces", Mexican pop artist and musician Jorge Lan shows off his liking of both the contemporary pop and traditional latin styles on this ten-track disc. Stand-out songs range from the radio-friendly "Que Se Necesita", the soft pop title track, and the catchy lyrics and melody of "No Volvere". Lan shines with the salsa-based, "Rompe Mi Corazon" which could become an awesome Latin dance hit with proper promotion. As a listener, it's incredible to sit back and listen to the lyrics. As a lyricist, Jorge shows much promise. The song "Serenata" screams mainstream hit-status! Lan is defenitely a bright talent to emerge out of Mexico. Using a list of talented musicians and vocalists, "Una Y Mil Veces" will leave the listener wanting to the hear the disc for 'one and million more times'. I?m a guitar player since 1994 and started playing with rock bands in ´96. From 1996 to 2000 I studied music composition at the Center of Musical Studies and Research (CIEM) in Mexico City. I have written and still writing music for image (Cartoons, short films, etc), and music for chamber orchestras.
Some of my presented works are:
"Máquina y Transformación" For orchestra, used in the soundtrack of the children interactive story "The Worst Woman in the World".
"Three Little String Fugues" For string quartet "Magic Waltz" For cello, violin, flute, harp, piano and percussion.
Soundtrack for the short film ?Dinner Temporary? which has appeared in many international film festivals.
In the year 2000 I started writing songs and have been performing since, as a songwriter-singer in bars, universities, city festivals, radio and TV shows, etc.
In 2003 I made an independent album featuring great musicians from Mexico and Cuba.
The album ?Una y Mil Veces? is a romantic journey from rock to bachata going through pop and salsa. The first radio single is called "Que Se Necesita" and it has hit the charts in some cities of Mexico.
In the year 2005 ?Una y mil veces? was signed for distribution by PCTmusic and has sold over 50,000 copies in the US.
I also produced an 18 children CD collection for this company called Spanish Junior Jukebox.
My new EP is called ?Cerca?. Is an acoustic and very personal CD, which is soon to be released.
