I'm a guitar player based in Portland, OR. I grew up learning to play the Piedmont Blues, which is indigenous to my beloved native land of North Carolina. More recently I became fascinated with classical music. I put those styles together and recently released an album of instrumental guitar music called "Timber," which earned a 9 out of 10 rating from the website Americana UK.

I'm also a founding member of the indie band Bombadil. Through that project I landed songs in the Amy Schumer movie Trainwreck and the Hulu show Runaways.

Overall I am trying to make the world a slightly more beautiful place through music that feels organic, authentic and optimistic. One "Timber" reviewer called the music "extroverted," and I think there's something to that. I was going for music along the lines of what the French composer Erik Satie called "furniture music," i.e., music that was not the main focal point for listeners but rather played a supporting role.
