I write music across a variety of genres including modern pop, traditional country, Broadway and jazz. I especially love writing 1950s and '60s-style vintage pop songs, and my songs in this genre may be described as blissful, passionate, romantic and dreamy. I also enjoy composing classical waltzes (all recorded by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra) which I think are ideal for epic scenes like weddings, ballroom dances, and skating competitions.
The Karamatics is a group name I use for the songs I write. I am a one-stop songwriter. I am the sole writer of all my songs and I own 100% of all publishing and master rights of all my songs.
I also am the author of many books including The Songwriter's Handbook and The Encyclopedia of the Music Business, winner of the ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award and recommended on one of the Grammy Awards shows by Academy Award-winner Henry Mancini.
