Kevin Gordon
I started playing music in the early 80's. In a punk band called Toltec. In the early 90's I went to school to be a recording engineer and graduated from Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts in 1991.
During the 90's I was in a band called Dose. We played the club scene in Chicago. ( Metro, Double Door) We rehearsed at Dress Rehearsal Studios where I worked a recording studio with the owner Don Greyless. There I met bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, and Bernie Mack. I also promoted shows with other Chicago bands at various clubs. The biggest show was at The Vic Theater and the headline act was a band called the Blue Meanies. There were 1,200 people at that show.
In 2003 I opened my own recording studio called Seek Productions located in Fox River Grove, a suburb of Chicago. There I recorded local bands and worked with another engineer/promoter named Gino Scarim. I was also still writing songs and playing music in a band called Seek and in the band that I currently am in Red Letter Day.
I have always been writing my own music but never found a way to get it to the people that can do something with it.
Now that has changed. Two years ago I started writing music for Movies and TV. I have had some success placing my music with Perpetual Music Group Publishing and Merf Music Group. Also placing my music through Taxi.com, Broadjam, and MusicXray.
I am currently working with Chris Shreenan-Dyck from sync songwriter and Michael Elsner from Master Music Licensing in order to get my music to the Right Music supervisors and Publishing catalogs.
