BIO

Buffalo Badlands were formed in 2007 and feature Alistair 'Zal' Colwell (Vocals, Guitars, Bass and Keys) and Nigel 'Burnfoot' Brown (Guitars and Vocals).

The Badlands are based in the UK and take their inspiration from a variety of different genres, in particular classic American Rock and also certain elements of country music. Their main influences are Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Hootie and the Blowfish and Cross Canadian Ragweed among many others. This is their debut record featuring 12 original compositions ranging from melodic ballads to up tempo 'foot stomping' rockers. The album opens with the mid paced eponymous titled track setting the scene for the whole album and ends with the 9 minute ballad, "Time to Say Goodbye", fading into a full instrumental. Standout tracks include the proposed single "Stay", the country-rock ballad "Cowboy in the City", and "Winning State", a song inspired lyrically by Nigel's passion for American Football.

"Dakota Highway" is released on the band's own label - Zalbis Music - but they are currently in contact with a number of more established labels with a view to them taking over distribution of the album.
