Americana singer-songwriter from Oklahoma. I blend the sounds of country, blues, folk and gospel traditions to create original story telling songs about real life. Sometimes they come out with a rock flavor, sometimes they're more bluesy. But, they're always Misti.
I wrote my first original song in 2004 which was heard by label A&R and resulted in a contract in 2010. To preserve my authentic sense of self and music direction, I chose to leave the label after a couple of years. 
Since then, I have continued to write, perform, record, teach and advocate for music education. 
My career started as a member of a country gospel trio in Florida. Upon my return to my home state of Oklahoma, I began working within the local country and blues scene performing as a solo artist while also supporting local artists with harmonies and back up vocals. 
Occasionally, I've also performed in musical theater.
