Lil D. Lite is a New York native. She began writing rhymes and rapping when she was 15 years old, after hearing the Wu-Tang Clan express some of her own sentiments. Other influences included Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Foxy Brown, and most notably, Lauryn Hill.
Lil D. has a Bachelor's degree in Business from New York University (NYU), as well as an Associate's degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University. She's worked for EMI Music Publishing, Sony Music, Phat Planet Recording Studios, Universal Music Publishing, Rhino Staging, and SKM Entertainment.
Lil D. Lite ultimately became a teacher and a mother, taking a hiatus from music, but it has become crystal clear that music is and always has been her true passion, so she's back to doing what she was born to do, make music!
Sounds Like: Lauryn Hill
