My music is a reflection of the journey of my soul. I began playing music in the 5th grade starting with alto saxophone. Upon graduation of high school, I auditioned for the Marine Corps Band completing a 4 year hitch. After military duty I became undecided about what to do with my life. My musical experience became more about excessive alcohol and different drug use, that overtime spiraled downward eventually getting me kicked out of a band made up mostly of former high school friends. The year 2000 became a turnign point in my life in every aspect. I had sold all my instruments, thinking that I was done with music forever. God's leading introduced me in 2007 to the Native American flute. I have great affinity for their customs and rituals and have experienced on many occasions Vision Quest, Sweat lodge and prayer ritual that has augmented my strong Christian faith. The flute for me is a way of communing with and worshipping the Lord. This album except for Rainbow Song and Amazing Grace are his intuitive voice of my heart. Many of these songs came to me during the night while asleep. The Eagle dancer on the cover was a power symbol given to me during a vision while doing a Vision Quest in the Gila Wilderness of New Mexico. I have rediscovered music in an entirely mystical way, learning the flute on my own and stumbling into the hands of all these talented musicians and coming up with this album all in the same year. I am truly blessed.
