Daniel Conti, 18, Dave Sims, 18, and Dr. D continue to enjoy a constantly growing following, performing at local clubs and benefits. The award-winning group has graced the stages of the annual Marble Falls Lakefest,Mayfest,and the Bluebonnet Blues Festival! Already veterans of the legendary Austin music scene, they have performed at THE blues club,Nunos, as well as Friends, Maggie Maes,The Thirsty Nickel,The Dizzy Rooster,... all venues on Austin's famous Sixth Street.

This up and coming band, is rocking the Texas music scene from the beautiful Hill Country town of Marble Falls.
Daniel Conti, 18, Dave Sims, 18,and Dr. D of Drawing Back enjoy a constantly growing following, performing all around Austin and the surrounding areas! The award-winning group is tearing up Austin's famous 6th street while two of its members finish high school, in their hometown of Marble Falls, Texas. They are the winners of The Ozark Blues Challenge!

Daniel Conti is the group’s lead guitarist and vocalist.He is a Senior at Marble Falls High School. Daniel cites Frank Marino, Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, and Texas legend Stevie Ray Vaughan as his biggest influences. He also gives a nod to a long list of blues players and rockers that have shaped his style: Otis Rush, Buddy Miles, Kim Simmonds, Roy Buchannon, Eric Clapton, Freddy King, Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Carlos Santana, B.B. King and Alan Haynes, among others.
Dave Sims, a Senior at Marble Falls High School , has played the drums since he was about 13. He is a member of the Marble Falls High School Band, the High School Jazz Band, and the bass drum squad leader on the High School Drumline. His influences include such great jazz drummers as Buddy Rich, Ed Shaughnessy, Max Roach, and Mitch Mitchell, as well as great rock drummers John Bohnam, Chris Layton, and Ringo Starr.
Dr.D,on bass and vocals,remembers his late dad (who played upright bass in a be-bop jazz trio) playing many early jazz records for him while singing/animating the bass lines to him...He is self taught but admits to having stolen licks from many bass players over the years, some of whom he remembers and some not.Bassists he does remember stealing riffs from: Paul McCartney, Jack Bruce, Tim Bogert, John Paul Jones, Andy Fraser, Geezer Butlzer,John Entwhistle, Gary Thain, Clive Chaman, Donald "Duck" Dunn, Harvey Brooks, Willie Dixon, John Mcvie, Leo Lyons, Tony Reeves,Richard McCracken, James Jamerson, Tommy Shannon, Johnny B. Gayden,and Ron Wood
