"Artie Campbell, the gospel-funk-jazz dipped keyboardist extrodinare brings his fingerworks and warm augmented jazz chordal knowledge to the sounds of the music world. A native Washingtonian, the gifted keyboardist grew up listening to the live bands of his childhood.Artie started playing the bass and lead guitar that lead to some theory classes and basic piano lesson.Once he was introduced to the sweet sounds of the fender Rhodes,Artie fell in love with the electronic keyboards and ventured into teaching himself to further his playing skills. He performed in many local nigth-clubs and the cabaret circuts and ventured onto the Go-Go circuts with such groups as Heavy Connection (featuring Juju House of E.U.)on drums and Reds and the Boys. Once with Reds the group spent several years as an opening act for the top go-go acts like Trouble Funk, E.U , Rare Essence and Chuck Brown. Artie started writing and producing which resulted in several CDs and other projects.
