Story Behind The Song
This is the only song here that Ronnie did not write, (besides the lyric to Edgar A. Poe's Annabel Lee, of course,) it is just to help us remember our roots, and to help keep the old beautiful songs alive.

Lyrics
Just an old song sung from memory, the song was written somewhere about 1890-1910 by 4 or 5 songwriters. We sang it at "pie-suppers" as children in one room schoolhouses. The song has a couple longer verses, but only this chorus to the song has with-stood the test of time and is remembered, few people have ever heard the verses. I have heard several versions of the chorus, this is the one we sang as kids.
Faraj© doing the backup vocal on this one.
