Story Behind The Song
Mark Limburg sent me several tracks of guitar & instrumental arrangements. The original instrumental to "Searching the Streets" was quite different than this finished track, but there were some musical themes that grabbed my ear and made me think we could turn it into a neat song. I asked Mark to elaborate on his original instrumental to which he created a very cool track. While listening to the track over and over again, the story of a solitary person searching the dark, lonely, cold, wet streets of a big city wouldn't leave me, and thus became "Searching the Streets."

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Cold, woke this morning I was so cold
No one here for me to hold
Hollow echoes in the hallway/
Agentle voice of words you'd say
Love alive just yesterday
Now pain's the price of love I pay
Pay with every thought today
Chorus:
I'm wandering through the night
Looking down these stairs,
There's no you anywhere
Rusty alleys, empty corridors,
Searching the Streets for you
Verse 2:
Chilled, searching alleys I'm so chilled
Out here all alone with the moon
Though stars illuminate the way
They'll just lead me astray
Why did it have to end? I must see you soon again
-Chorus-
