Song Description
This is the first collaboration with my self and the extremely talented and giving artist Cyndi Corkran of 2021. Cyndi added superb lyrics and vocals as well as adding some percussion to this song, and I really hope people like it. The dark specter of 2020 still looms heavy over this new year, which has affected us all as well as other issues. For musicians and artists who play live, and the venues who showcase them it has been extremely hard, and I truly hope you all are getting through it. For those of you who have lost people through COVID 19 I truly feel for you. I hope things will start to open up soon, and we can put this awful thing behind us. Best wishes to you all. T

Lyrics
I was lost
Right there in the city
So I headed for the mountains
And ready to go
Oh ooo, so....ready to go
It was a warm, summer night
So long time ago
And your sweet embrace
Felt like coming home
Oh oh, felt like coming home
But when the summer died
It took you with it
To regions you've paved
Into my heart, then spent it
You spent it all (repeat)
Now life continues
As if a dream
A foggy mantel of mystery
It seems so tersely beautiful
You spoke of loving me
If not sincere, at least in bounty
Charm offensive,
Your modus operandi
The lies you've spoken
Belies your token of loving me
Oh, your love for me
And your
Charm offensive
Is so expensive
It cost you, my love
When laid at your feet
From one who cared
One who truly cared
(Instrumental break)
But please, don't think
That all of your charm
Has taken root
Inside of my heart
Your charm offensive
Left my heart so broken
That belies your token of loving me (repeat)
And something so alive as life
If no care is taken
Can extinguish Purest Light
In the dark recesses of the night
In my dark night (repeat)
(Instrumental break)
(CODA)
Charm offensive
Your modus operandi
The lies you've spoken
Belies its token of love, for me
Your love for me
And your
Charm offensive
Is so expensive
It cost you, my love
When laid at your feet
From one who cared
One who truly cared
Now, I close my eyes
To take a break
But it all comes rushing back
And I feel the same heartache
I'm right back there
Just right back there, again
Your charm offensive
Is so expensive
It cost you, my love
When laid at your feet
From one who cared
One who cared
(Instrumental out~)
