Story Behind The Song
This is lyric #39, the lyrics written October 19, 1972. This is a song we performed regularly in our band, Babylon, and it was well received wherever we played. My original version of this song was recorded before I had my drumset, so I made this updated version today. The original version was recorded in 2008. I am going to include the Babylon version as well. Keep in mind the Babylon version was recorded in the early 1970's on a reel to reel, then transferred to cassette, then to cd, and now to mp3, so it has deteriorated over time.

Lyrics
I feel it't time to say something
Something I think you ought to know
All my life I've done nothing
And that's all I have to show
But it's time to change, yeah
I just can't go on this way
It's time to rearrange, yeah
And start anew today
No more bringing me down
No more feeling sorry
No more shaking with worry
So, I give you all fair warning
Things just won't be the same
When I get up in the morning
You'll only know me by my name
You can't live in dreams of tomorrow
Nor the ones of yesterday
Reality may be full of sorrow
But you just can't hide away
No more being lonely
No more hurting inside
No more hiding away my pride
That's all gone away
I'm starting life today
I'm starting life today
