Lyrics
V1
LIFE AS AN OUTLAW, HE GREW TIRED OF HIS WAYS.
A GUN SLINGING COWBOY, WOULD SEE AN EARLY GRAVE.
DREW TO A BIBLE, AND THEN HE MARRIED RIGHT.
HIS PAST BEHIND HIM, STARTING A NEW LIFE.
CH
NOT A BAD WAY TO GO. NOT A BAD WAY TO GO, NO, NO.
.
V2
WHEN ALL SEEMED GOING WELL, IN A QUIET LITTLE TOWN.
UNLAWFUL LAWMEN, THEY CAME TO BOUNTY DOWN.
THEY BURNED HIS FARM OUT, AND KILLED HIS FAMILY TREE.
WHEN HE RETURNED TO SEE, IT BROUGHT HIM TO HIS KNEES.
CH
THATS A BAD WAY TO GO. THATS A BAD WAY TO GO, YA, YA. YA.
GUITAR SOLO.
V3
HE SADDLE UP TO TRACK THEM, AN EYE FOR AN EYE.
SADLY OUTNUMBERED, BUT HE NEW HE HAD TO TRY.
A PACEMAKER PISTOL, AND A BIBLE IN HIS BELT.
HE TOOK HIS FINAL STAND, BUT HE SENT THEM ALL TO HELL.
CH
NOT A BAD WAY TO GO. NOT A BAD WAY TO GO, NO, NO.
NOT A BAD WAY TO GO.
