Story Behind The Song
I wrote this after becoming aware that you can still be completely alone even in a crowd. I reluctantly went to a party just because I didn't want to sit around the house by myself. Everyone was drinking and I remember thinking how that just doesn't fix things. I looked at a bottle of tequila on a table and thought "I could empty that bottle and it still wouldn't take away the pain. Every lonely day spent is one that you can't get back". Every life is a story. I just wanted to tell my "story", but no one wanted to listen and no one cared. I would tell my story if I could, but it takes a willing participant. Seems everyone is too busy reading their own story to listen to anyone else's.
