Are you ready for some of that good ol' Dan Fogelberg styled philosophical folky love songs? Of course you are! The fingerpicking and strumming with that somewhat hollow echo sounding fullness just can't be beat. Then put a sweet, innocent earthy female vocal on top and there you have it! The melody harkens back to those folk tunes we loved in the 70s and 80s, but it still feels as current as today. The song is as comfortable as sitting on a rug in front of the fireplace with coffee, or as familiar stroll over leaves on a country trail. It's memorable, too, meaning the songwriter has a pop sensibility. That's the Fogelberg kind of combination, and the songwriter featured here does it, too.
Absolutely beautiful. From the guitar playing to the vocalist, perfect.
The guitar sounds very warm, the overall production sound is super crisp and makes for a pleasant listen. I like a lot of the ideas in the lyrics, "I need something back, like a sign" is a wonderfully bittersweet line for example. "Would our hearts collide" is the best line in the piece for me, big fan of that particular piece.
That was beautiful.
Great recording on this guitar is big, strong and accurate
This is really nice, guitar picking and stereo panning is nice. Well done vocals, and nice repeating melody that forms a hook. I also like the "open" ending chord...perfect
I really enjoyed listening to this song. The vocal presentation and instrumentation were both well done and worked well throughout the entire song. The lyrics flowed well and kept the listener engaged. Production was well done. It was nicely done.
