Astrid's Musings: Carnaval ft. Astrid & Paul Messina

Song Description

We have here what we call "blocos de sujos", what translates loosely as "group of dirties". They are groups of people who party on carnival without ties to anything, or without any organization. Generally men will dress as women, and will drink a lot of booze. Good idea, Jay. Indeed, I believe that people who play carnival in the streets have a more happy moment than the ones who watch the samba schools.Indeed there is a great contrast, some people use costumes of thousands of dollars, and others just put their wife's old clothes.
