Story Behind The Song

Early morning in an average city, it's still dark and a little bit of rain is falling down. Imagine you are at the beginning of "The Avenue" you start walking and the first person you see is this John Doe, sitting down playing the guitar and trying to earn a couple of bucks. You give him a few bucks and move ahead. A little bit further you hear a Cello, it's coming from an open window, probally a student that is still practising his part. You still walk on, and the sun is starting to chase the clouds away. A radio you hear is playing some music. Suddenly you hear a young man playing a guitar solo, you stop to listen for a few seconds and then you move along. The whole day you walk up and down "The Avenue" and every time you hear new sounds and music. The night falls in and at the end of "The Avenue" you hear the last few notes of a Piano floating out of a cheap bar.
