Story Behind The Song
October 22, 2012. Hurricane Sandy took New York City and ravaged it with a fury we've never known. Floods, destruction in her wake. This larger than life city was powerless against her. The devastation insurmountable. It was 2am. I was about to go to bed, and had the notion to tune my guitar before turning in when my muses had other ideas. Save Us All was written between 2-4am while my windows were being pelted and the wind had built itself into a fury. I imagined all these people watching the contents of their homes floating by like little rafts holding all their memories. From there, the lyrics were born.
THE INSTRUMENTAL VERSION.. is orchestral, peaceful in a strange way as it mimics the nature of water, flowing and carrying everything in it's wake.
Song Description
A hurricane becomes a metaphor for the ebb and flow of the lives we live. Memories floating by with the risk of losing it all. What have we learned and where does true wisdom come from. What will we be left with, what can we let go of, how do we tune in to what really matters, how can we listen more deeply. Surviving the storm and looking forward to better days.

Lyrics
Verse I
We watched the rising tide
The moon she lit the sky
She kissed us with her warm goodbye
Hailed the wind and set
The sky on fire
She set the night on fire
Verse II
The flood gates lost their pride
They broke and opened wide
And memories came floating by
Photographs and Grammas lullaby
Chorus
Oh...Save us all ...Save us all
Verse III
The buildings once stood tall
They laughed at natures call
They built monoliths and concrete walls
But as we rise so shall we fall
As we rise, so shall we fall
Chorus
Oh...Save us all...Save us all
Instrumental bridge
Verse IV
I pray for brighter days
Your pain be cast away
The sun to shine and dry your eyes
And know that sometimes mercy comes disguised...
In wisdom from the wise
Thru Mother Natures eyes
In wisdom from the wise
Like Grammas lullabies
To save us all
Save us all
